This pub was recommended to us on a recent visit to Adare. We had the potato skins to share as a starter. It consisted of 2 small half potatoes with a ramakin of dip, not a bit of garnish in sight, it looked miserable on the plate but was quiet tasty. Poor value for money. Things improved with our main courses, my husband had the chicken tika and it was delicious. I went for the chicken bites with chips and salad.The chicken was in a lovely light batter and very tender and tasty.It was accompanied by a small portion of chips and a nice salad.The music was way too loud for early evening, as a result we left after our meal.This place has potential but needs more care and attention.

Dropped in here last Thursday for a bite to eat with my husband. I ordered the Chicken Tikka and my husband had a Steak wrap with chips and salad. He was very satisfied with his choice although mine was a very big disappointment. First the chicken tikka came out cold so I sent it back. When I eventually got it back it was terrible. The sauce was just like coloured water so didn't eat it just picked at the chicken bites and rice - so much for a lovely tasty creamy orange sauce. No one came near us to ask us how our meal was and obviously they couldn't be bothered. The pub has being refurbished but still maintains the "old Irish culture" with a traditional appearance which is very impressive.
