My friend and I ate in the bar here. It was very noisy. When a rather dour waitress took our order and asked us about drinks to accompany our food, she seemed to have great difficulty providing us with tap water! I got the chicken Caesar salad which was ok...ish. Very little dressing and huge chunks of bland-tasting chicken. My friend just had the Bailey's bread & butter pudding which was delicious. Just as we finished eating, a waiter insisted on moving us to another table...saying "you must find the group next to you very annoying." We said it was fine but he insisted we move. The moment we got up, he moved our table over to the 'noisy group'...it was painfully obvious he just need the table for more golfers to join them. Incredibly rude. Even other diners noticed and mentioned to us how rude it was. Won't be in a hurry back.

I went here for dinner for a family party and was very impressed. We were a group of 15 with various palates and some very fussy eaters. The menu is long and suits all tastes. Additionally the staff were very accommodating about any changes we wanted.

Had lunch here while watching the rugby match. opted for 2 starters instead of a main course. The seafood chowder is delicious, lots of nice chunks of fish. My husband had the mussels which were excellent. Very tasty and suited exactly what we wanted. Lovely homemade biscuits with tea and coffee after. Very comfortable and was great to watch the match without the crowd.
