2.5 Da Vincis Restaurant (Leixlip) 2.5 star review:
We used to come here a lot, the service was always great, the food was always great..
But I don;t know what happened, management maybe? But the staff seem so unhappy all the time. No smile no nothing! The early bird is a bit cheeky, its no 3 courses, its 2 and a coffee.
Pre course was a bruchetta, well nothing can go wrong with that, or can it? Well, it was just the garlic bread they normally use with some tomatoes and cheese on it. Nothing special, quite soggy even.
Hubby had the wings, those were good!
Maincourse I had a pasta carbonara, it was so incredibly salty I could harly eat it.
Hubby had a pasta pollo, also very salty, maybe they dropped the salt jar?

I've been frequenting Da Vincis for years and am a big fan of their food, especially their pizzas. In the past I have found the waiting staff to be unhelpful and rude but I was pleasantly surprised by the service on my most recent visit. The Early Bird menu is good value.

To start off my family and i visited Davincis for a Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.Straight away they brought some dough and colouring sheets with crayons for the kids. The kids early bird menu was up for great value. For 8.95 the kids got a starter, main course, desert and a soft drink. For our starter we got New York chicken wings which were divine. It was a decent portion, plenty for sharing. The Thai Fettuccine for my main course were really tasty, the pasta was cooked just perfect. After our main meal the staff introduced to us the new mini bite deserts we thought it was a brilliant idea.We visited this restaurant about a year and a half ago and we can all agree that they always have something new and exciting for their costumers.Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!!

I have eaten in Davinci's several times in the past, Its a great restaurant for families as it is so child friendly but unfortunately i have found it to be a bit hit and miss when it comes to the food. On this occasion i had italian bread to start which was ok. My main course was a creamy vegetarian pasta dish but it was so lacking in flavour i needed to add vast amounts of black pepper and parmesan to it. On the plus side my companion was very happy with her lasagne and we both thought the house white was excellent.

Have been here on many occassions. Food is nice and place is generally quite busy so the atmosphere is good.
Last time we were here we rang up to see if the early bird menu is still available, we were told yes but when we got there we were told no but then after complaining we were given the menu. We were brought over to our table with the early bird menu hidden in the normal menu.
It left a bad taste in our mouths from the very beginning. We felt as if we were frowned upon so the service was lacking from the start till the end.
I dont understand resteraunts that make a mistake and then make their customer feel bad.
I wont be going back here in a hurry.

This is a lovely restaurant. We arrived a little late and were greeted by an extremely friendly manager who assured us it was no problem. Our orders were taken and served promptly. The starters were so big and tasty, i had The New York stile wings and my partner had Brie. My main course of a 12"Capriciosa Pizza and a portion of spicy potatoes were very nice but my wife's Fettuccine al Pollo was just fabulous. We shared a very pleasant presented “Cassata” a desert with a unique taste and flavor! Service was very efficient and friendly I will certainly return to try Fettuccine al Pollo.

Came here on a friday evening with my bf and it was lovely. I found the atmosphere and setting great. The food was lovely we both had pasta which was really tastly. To start i bruschetta which i really enjoyed. My bf got a starter that was croquettes with a rice and mozzerella centre with a garlic dip. I though this mix sounded odd but have to say it tasted gorgeous. Cant wait to return.

went to da vinci's on 14th May for my daughter's communion. There was 14 of us. From the start the service was excellent, especially for the children. They were given their menus to colour in on the back with colouring pencils, and soon after home made play dough arrived for them all with shape cutter and rolling pins!!Kids were delighted.I had the deep fried brie for starters which was nice if a little boring and then the pizza calabrese, which was a bit disappointing. was just too cheesy so couldn't taste the tomato sauce. But the tiramisu was to die for.I'd go back just for this alone. All the portions were huge,my husband had buffalo wings to start and he couldn't eat his steak after them.Almost everyone in the party was very happy with their food, and most went for the early bird menu which is great value @ 19.95 for starters, mains and a glass of wine.As it was after 2 when we got there can't say there was much of an atmosphere as was very quiet, but I'd say at night time it would have a nice buzz alright.Service was great and great value for money.Would definitely return, just maybe leave the pizza out:)

5.0 Da Vincis Restaurant (Leixlip) 5.0 star review:
My wife and I visited Da Vinci's for a quick early bird dinner with our two daughters (3 years old and 11 months) as we had heard that the restaurant was very child- and family-friendly. We were not disappointed. We found the staff were very welcoming and obviously happy to have young children in the restaurant. As soon as we were seated at our table our older daughter was presented with playdough, cookie-cutter shapes and a large container of coloured pencils to draw on her menu.
The food was excellent. We ordered standard pasta dishes for ourselves and plain pasta with tomato sauce for our daughters - but it was all very obviously freshly cooked with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
The service was very efficient and quick - which is doubly important with young children in the party. We also felt we got great value for money. We will definitely be making Da Vinci's a regular fixture from now on!
