The Ballymore Inn 5.0 star review: We were here last night with a party of apx 20 people, all of whom were very happy with their meals. I had the chicken wings to start which were delicious but the portion was massive! My main was a steak with seasonal veg. Again this was a generous portion and cooked to perfection. I couldn't fault the food on any front. Would visit again and recommend to anyone.

The Ballymore Inn 5.0 star review: Ate in the "Back Bar" this week, food was delicious especially the chicken chilli sweetcorn soup and the haddock special. the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming also. The staff were warm, pleasant and attentive the whole time. The prices were very competitive and given the high standard of food quality it was value for money! All in all our experience at the Ballymore Inn was superb and we will definitely be returning in the near future!

The Ballymore Inn 4.0 star review: a much anticipated visit to the only michelin recommended pub in kildare, i found a mix of good and bad points, on arriving there was a bread basket with room temperature butter( a sign they use their heads, as smearing cold hard butter is a nightmare) and a lovely herb olive oil with caraway seeds, while the bread was bland and not fresh the oil was delicious,i had the pate to start an while it was good pate and chutney, it was served plopped on a bunch of undressed bruised leaves, and it failed to justify its 11.50 price, my friend had the chicken wings, which were dry and the spice and sauce were not good, both a strange curry type? i had the salmon which was well cooked yet very plain, the chips were like mcdonalds, 19 euro for salmon? the desserts were rustic and gorgeous. our waitress was attentive yet unobtrusive. the food here definetely top if a little unimpressive and the lunch prices have to be looked at as theres better value and just as good quality elsewhere

The Ballymore Inn 4.0 star review: This is a great place for atmosphere, especially if you are celebrating something special, as the selection of wines is very good. The menu is quite extensive, and the Pizza and Main dishes are quite varied. The quality is very high, and the spices are very well sourced. The service is always excellent.

The Ballymore Inn 4.5 star review: Arrived to the restaurant Friday night with a friend. We were seated immediately. The restaurant itself is decorated very tastfully. For starters I had the special which was crab meat cake with avacodo & tomato salsa - It was really delicious. The crab meat was lovely & sweet. For mains we both had the chicken stuffed with Feta, Basil & mango. This came served with couscous. The chicken & delicious - Very soft. The filling was good but I'm still not sure about the mango. Maybe on the side or mixed in with the couscous might be an option. For sides we had chips - these were great, crispy & hot and salad - perfectly fresh. For dessert we had the cheese board between us - We differed on the quince - I enjoyed it. The oat grain homemade crackers were a nice touch too. Overall, A really lovely meal & I'd recommended the restaurant to all. With a few beers added in our bill came to 100 euro, whici I thought was steep. The cheese board is very overpriced. I'll be back for the food. Must add that our waitress for the night was really great - very attentive & friendly. Thanks for a great night.

The Ballymore Inn 2.5 star review: Decided to give here another go and was a bit disappointed yet again. The food is so overpriced, €3.95 for just 4 bad onion rings in a portion! We ate this time in the back bar and the male staff were much busier looking at a football match on the TV than serving customers, bar one girl who was very pleasant and attentive even though she wasn't even serving our table but she was keeping a close eye on the teenage girl who was. We ordered two pizza's which were mediocre and at €13.50 each you'd expect a decent level of toppings. The House Wine is consistenly good, we were given glasses of water without having to ask which is always a plus. Over all the service is on average good but their prices really need to be reduced.

The Ballymore Inn 5.0 star review: My friends and I had the most amazing meal here last night! We ate in the main restaraunt which is decorated with impeciable taste, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress was perfectly attentive, and service was smooth and efficient. The only small mistake was when we had to ask for our drinks a second time. The food was out of this world. Each of us raved about our meal, which included sucelent steak, yummy pizza and beef stir fry. And to top it all off, for desert, tart like your mammy would make. All and all, it was the perfect dining experience. It is, of course, understandable, that in the current econimic climate, people gravitate towards the "2 courses for €18" deals available, where you will recieve a meal worth €18. However, if you want something more special, Id head to the Ballymore Inn, where for slightly more money, you get a meal prepared with love in the kitchen :)

The Ballymore Inn 3.0 star review: I visited this restaurant as one of a golfing group, and my experience fell far short of the expectations I had after reading online accreditations. My chicken liver pate was frozen. However my big disappointment was in the 28 days dry-aged sirloin steak, which I chose over the fillet. A big mistake, as it was a tough a steak as I ever tasted, and aged far less than 28 days I would suspect, a view shared by two others at my table of 10 diners. I was further disappointed by the lack of interest expressed by the waiter to whom I complained. He just collected my plate and moved on ! A night out spoiled !
