Lord Kenmare's Restaurant 5.0 star review: We certainly enjoyed our meal at Lord Kenmares. The service was extremely friendly throughout. We had the set menu (€27 for 3 courses plus tea/coffee) and were very satisfied. Service starts at 5.30pm, so very convenient for those wanting an early meal. I would recommend booking, as it is very popular. We would certainly go back here again.

Lord Kenmare's Restaurant 5.0 star review: My husband and I are fans of Killarney and have been here a number of times.
Lord Kenmare's didn't disappoint and it's central location is fantastic.
The staff who work here are excellent and make you feel right at home straight away. I started with soup as I had ordered the seafood platter which is enormous. It was a tiny bit watery but did have flavour and overall I enjoyed it. My husband had the prawns to start which he was very happy with. TThere were plenty of them and they had lots of flavour.
For main course I had the biggest platter of seafood I have ever seen. It includes scallops, mussels, monkfish, salmon, oysters, calamari and prawns. It was really delicious and I would recommend it if you like seafood. You could almost share it with someone! My husband had the pork which he also enjoyed. I tried a little of it and found it a little on the sweet side for me but it was tender and well cooked.
For dessert we managed to squeeze in one to share as I was really full from the seafood platter. The baked alaska was delicious and well cooked. The strawberry frozen yoghurt was still solid and was encased in delicious meringue.
Overall we were happy with our choice for dinner. The food was very good quality and we found the service to be particulary warm!

Lord Kenmare's Restaurant 5.0 star review: My husband and myself had a meal before a show in the Gleneagle last night. We didn't have a booking but were happily accommodated by a very efficient, smiling waitress when we assured her that we only required a pre -show quick bite. Delicious home made breads and jug of iced water immediately graced our window table. We enjoyed the rack of Kerry lamb(and it was KERRY lamb) and fillet steak - well done as requested, beautifully garnished, generous and served with roast veg salad and three kinds of potatoes. One word describes the meal - mouth-watering.I had time to gulp down a chocolate fondant - it was to die for. I regretted having to rush but will certainly be back for more. While we enjoyed the show it was this scrumptious meal which has lingered in our minds today. A negative is hard to find - perhaps more home-made Kerry desserts! A wonderful culinary experience which I would highly recommend and which I hope to delight in again.

Lord Kenmare's Restaurant 5.0 star review: My sister and I ate here last evening. It was fabulous. We both had herb-crusted scallops to start with - sublime!! Tender, succulent sweet scallops in a delicately flavoured crust. My sister had steak with bearnaise sauce - fantastic and I had the duck. Vegetables, gratin potatoes & chips were all lovely and service (as usual) was top class. I find it to be a consistently great restaurant and everyone should find something fabulous to eat...no matter how fussy an eater they are!!!

Lord Kenmare's Restaurant 5.0 star review: This is a really good restaurant with excellent food. I had the seafood platter which is a must for any seafood lover. Decent sized portions also. You can see why this place is always busy - it deserves to be. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend it.

Lord Kenmare's Restaurant 4.0 star review: Myself and my girlfriend went here last night and had a very nice meal indeed, and the atmosphere was good, i liked the fact that you didn't have to whisper, it is a little on the pricey side but you do get what you pay for, i got mussels to start and it was €10.50 but it was a huge portion, i would go back.

Lord Kenmare's Restaurant 4.0 star review: Really quite pleasantly surprised by this place when I dined here last Sunday night with 2 work colleagues - all over us having worked up quite an appetite over 18 holes on a glorious afternoon. The restaurant was recommended to us by the concirege at the Plaza Hotel who organised a booking for us at short notice. When we arrived upstairs the place was pretty much full (a good sign on a Sunday night in "the current economic climate") and the atmosphere was informal and buzzy. The menu offered plenty of choice - lamb souvlaki and bruschetta x 2 for starter all went down a treat. My main course of loin of lamb was excellent whilst my colleages were both enthused by their fillet and sirloin. All were served with gratin potatoes and side salad. If anything the portion sizes were too big, leading to satisfied but bloated diners, none of whom had the added satisfaction of clearing their plates. Service was friendly and prompt thoughout. Overall, a nice find serving quality food in a town full of mediocre "tourist trap" style establishments.
