Genting Thai 2.5 star review: Having read great reviews for Genting Thai myself and my girlfriend decided to pay a visit last night. We're holidaying in Killarney and we're big fans of Thai food so we were happy to discover a highly rated Thai restaurant on our doorstep. Overall, it was ok, nothing special. In my opinion it is certainly is not a '5 star' Thai restaurant as some reviews suggest. Starters (chicken satay/spare ribs) were nice, and the portions extremely generous. My main course, the chefs special crispy beef, was like eating rubber - I would not recommend it! I couldnt eat much of it as it was too much work! My girlfriend enjoyed her chicken in chilli dish, but agreed my dish was awful! Service was fine. Meal was €80 for 2 people (2 courses each) with a bottle of wine - I didn't think it was great value for money as I was disappointed with the food. Would I go back, probably not.. It is what it is, basic Thai food.

Genting Thai 4.5 star review: Had an early bird here last week and the value was superb. Service was flawless, and the food was fantastic. Quality of meat was of an excellent standard too, something which is sometimes not always up to scratch in Thai restaurants in Dublin. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and indeed be back again next time I'm in Kerry.

Genting Thai 4.0 star review: I eat here in a group of 6, they were very accommodating, service was excellent. For the most part the food was good, but one person had the noodles and they were just wrong. But, I'd definitely go again, just avoid the noodles!

Genting Thai 4.5 star review: Visited here on a night out with the girls. Loved it. The food was fantastic and covered a range of non-spicy to super spicy which suited our group. and the portions were enormous. Luckily, we had booked a table as the place was packed. The service was terrific - we stayed late as we had so much chatting to do but nobody came near us to hunt us although we were the last in the restaurant. Wish I lived in Kerry so I could visit here more often. Try it - I'm sure you'll love it.

Genting Thai 5.0 star review: My husband and I were down in Killarney for the new year. We stumbled accross this restaurant during the afternoon and decided to book for that evening. Luckily we did as when we came back at 8pm there was a queue out the door. There were a couple of local girls behind us who said you always have to book as the place is so popular.

For starters I had the Tom Yum soup, It was gorgeous, filled with veg and a good kick to it. My husbad had the beef satay which was again a good protion and was very tasty.

For main course I got the Pad Thai and my husband got the Chricken Green Curry. Both were delicious, the clean plates that went back to the kitchen said it all.

We were both too full for desert but loved it so much we booked in for the following night. It was really good quality food and the staff are lovely. They were so friendly and made such an effort with us when we went back the second night even though they knew we were tourists so wouldnt be back soon. We loved this place so much that I joined menupages to review it!

Genting Thai 5.0 star review: We often eat in the Genting Thai as well as getting take aways. Their take away menu is excellent value. The food always tastes delicious and the staff are so friendly. I have a food intolerance and they are so understanding of it. I would highly recommend it.
