Dines in Brooks restaurant at the Ballygarry House Hotel last night courtesy of a well out of date voucher from our family which was accepted without fuss. The restaurant was not busy and we enjoyed a pre prandial drink in the leebrook bar. Our previous visits to this establishment were for bar food or weddings and we were never disappointed . We were seated at a nice table in an alcove with nice views of the well kept gardens. The staff were most attentive and well informed concerning the menu . I must admit the menu is limited in choice but this was acceptable considering the quality of the dishes . We were given an amous bouche of salmon which was delicious .Ger ordered starter of plaice strips which were served in a lovely batter I have seen less fish as a main in many dublin restautants. I had a spicy chicken which was lovely . for mains we ordered Hake and Duck cooked two ways . Two huge fillets of perfectly cooked fish and the duck was to die for perfectly pink as i asked for and beautifully presented . The accompaniments were also of a very high standard . Desers home made ice cream and a tort apple bavaoise . Both delicious and pretty on the eye. The staff specially Majella were excellent and most attentive but with a lovely friendly manner. We were asked if we wished for any more food during the meal and i felt as if ay request would not have been a problem. Nice too to see the chef in his domain he is from the us and a nice friendly guy. The whole experience was really a pleasure pity there were not more people there

Went here for dinner last week and the food was amazing. Had the goats cheese starter which was very impressive and salmon for main which was so tasty. No complaints.

We have eaten at Ballygarry House Hotel many times, in the bar, in the restaurant and this time at a Wedding Reception. We have never been disappointed. The food was excellent, the service fantastic, we were even offered additional meat with our main courses as well as vegetables. I can only agree with all of the earlier reviews giving this venue high marks for everything, one of the best restaurants in the Tralee area. Well worth a visit.
