My elderly mother, 2 kids and I had a lovely lunch in Allo's last Saturday. My mother had chicken supreme with courgette fritters- the chicken was loverly, very tender, and the fritters were a pleasant surprise. The kids had chicken gougons and chips from the kids' menu, good quality, too much on the plate for them to eat. For me it was the €10 special, canneloni and a lovely side salad. My mother also had a scoope of ice cream - something I like about Allo's is that it's possoble to hgave a small desert. Toilets were spotless as always and I was glad to see the notice on the door leading to toilets and back garden reminding patrons of the need to close that door becasue of the draught, as this was an issue which infuriated me on a previous visit. Service was very good, quick and efficient without being in the least bit intrusive.

lovely bistro pub restaurant. From outside it looks small, but once inside, it will welcome you with all its charm. My soup of the day with bacon crouton was delicious. The pork fillet was quite indulgent and definitely a big portion. Although already completely filled up, I ordered a dessert too. Lovely almond and wild berries tart with ice cream on top. Service was ok. Restaurant was very busy and waiters seemed a bit scattered. As mentioned in other reviews, it's not cheap but food is quite good

I was pleasantly surprised with Allo's -this establishment would give many Dublin restaurants a run for their money! Unfortunately the restaurant has last orders at 19:30 (weekdays?). Even though there were two waitresses and we were virtually the only customers, it was hard to get attention. But the food was superb: the Thai curry was delicious! Not to mention the cheesecake. Excellent wine pairing, although expensive. Highly recommended.
