Star King is a buffet restaurant located in the Galway Shopping Centre Complex on the Headford Rd. Come and sample our amazing range of dishes, ranging from Chinese, Japanese, Thai, American, Italian to good old fashioned barbeque. We're open for buffet lunch priced at €8.95 for all you can eat! Our lunch menu is an extensive range of your favourite chinese dishes as well as our amazing sushi bar and dessert selection. In the evening time for the ridiculous price of €15.99 our menu becomes more extensive. Our chefs will cook you steak, lamb, pork and chicken right there before your eyes, our maybe you'd prefer some shellfish like king scallops, king prawn or mussels. Our wine menu will just make your mouth water and if wine isn't your thing then our fully stocked bar will surely have what your looking for. Come down and see what all the fuss is about, and I promise you'll leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face for a little more than you pay for a takeaway!!!

We went here for lunch. The atmosphere is dark, slick and feels like a nice place for a party. You pay to enter then can eat all you like. There is water available free of charge and a cash bar to get other drinks. The lunch options are more limited than the dinner options. The food is buffet style. The food is good, not great. The buffet is not hot enough so by the time you eat the food is luke warm or cold. The selection was limited and did not include many appetiser type things. There is dim sum available at lunch but it is at the other side of the restaurant where the dinner chef would be, but not at lunchtime. The dessert buffet is included in the price and has a chocolate fountain, fruit, jelly and ice cream. All are ok but not fantastic quality. good value but quality could be improved.
