We spent a weekend in the Radisson Blu in October. Dinner one night was included in the package but this was for Marinas Restaurant, not Raw. Still, being sushi lovers we decided to try Raw on the Friday night. The food is really, really good. I know they are going for an authentic Japanese experience but it might be an idea to include maybe one hot dish on the menu if possible. Not everyone will fancy eating cold food on a winter's night in Galway! Service was excellent and food was good value. The wine was expensive, though and we were glad to see they had two Japanese beers available - Asahi and another whose name I can't remember. The only downside, as others have mentioned, is the lack of atmosphere/customers. We ate here on a Friday at 8.00 and there were only three other tables occupied. I decided to have a quick look on the Saturday night as our room was on the same floor as Raw (4th) and again, it was surprisingly empty for 8.30 on a Saturday night. They need to do some advertising or something to promote themselves, I think.

Ate here with my partner last Friday as he was visiting me for the weekend, it was so good we went back on Saturday night! Best sushi we have had in Ireland. The seats by the window had a great view. Lots of nice touches like an amuse bouche to start. The sushi was very fresh and good portion sizes. We were absolutely stuffed and had a drink each and the bill came to €50 which is excellent value.

Ate here because I won a competition for a dinner and a stay in the Hotel. My wife and I love Sushi so we were glad to see the hotel had this place. Even though the hotel was very busy the restaurant was very quiet. I don't know what they are doing to promote RAW but they should be a lot busier as the food is great. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. We have eaten Sushi in the fish market in Tokyo and the food here was not a million miles away. Would defiantly eat her next time I'm in Galway.

I couldn't wait to visit Raw as i am a fan of Sushi but this place is different from what i am used to, not in a bad way as the food was very good. Our waitress was very very good in her recommendations which makes a big difference when your dealing with sushi, she recommended raw instead of cooked which some people might not want to try but take it from me the raw is much better. Our Favorites were the 5 hour marinated duck and the tuna which had a wonderful texture, Raw is a place that a few visits will be required before you find your way around the menu so i am sure ill be back soon.
