Milano (Galway) 5.0 star review: Visited for midweek dinner with my wife to find a good mix of 30-something dining after work and families. Good atmosphere resulted with that 'buzz' of a restaurant full of happy chatty people.

We chose the Bruschetta and Polpette Meatballs for starters, both of which were hot, tasty and devoured!

My wife chose the Cannelloni for main and thoroughly enjoyed it - perfectly cooked and full of flavour. I opted for the 'Sweetly Nutty' Pizza... oh my! My tastebuds are still singing after it!

A bottle of wine and 2 Chocolate Fudge Cake desserts saw a bill of €50 even with our 'Buy one main, get one free' voucher. Well worth it though!

Milano (Galway) 4.0 star review: Great location in the centre of town. Spacious restaurant, ideal for groups. Quality pizzas and pasta dishes at very affordable prices. No problems with the service. Couldn't ask for more for the price. Would go there again

Milano (Galway) 3.5 star review: Visited with my partner and our two kids, we have always been big fans of Pizza Express in London, which I believe is the same.
Got a started of Bruschetta Fungi, which I adore but it was very peppery, (milled pepper), which I don't like so it kind of ruined it for me, but the pizzas we got were delicious, and the kids pasta was very tasty and they loved it, I do think that the price of the wine is a little excessive for what you get. And as much as I love the idea of giving the kids something to colour in, its a bit pointless when the colouring pencils are minus tops and all need to be sharpened.
We also got the most abscent minded waitress who had to keep coming back to check what we ordered and still not delivering it , but overall I do like the food and the restaurant, but definitely things could improve.

Milano (Galway) 3.5 star review: I recently ate in this branch and having never before eaten in Milano's before, i was very much looking forward to it after hearing great reviews. There was a large group of us dining together but this didnt faze the waitress at all who was very attentive and couldn't do enough for us, without going over the top. However, the food was not to the same high standard as the service. The bruschetta which is normally one of my italian favourites was very oily and not at all crispy like ones i have had previous. As a popular dish, most people chose the lasagne. When it arrived it was quite flat looking, with one of my guests having to send hers back as when she peeled back a few layers of pasta - she found there to be no meat just a skimpy amount of ragu sauce. She re-orderd a pizza and this was brought within minutes so she was not left without food for too long. Not overly expensive - but dear for what you get.

Milano (Galway) 4.0 star review: I had never before visited this branch of Milanos but being a firm favorite of mine I was sure it would not disappoint. It was really busy for a Wednesday night but the restaurant has a good seated waiting area where it is possible to order drinks which then can be brought to the table. This made the wait alot more relaxed and enjoyable. The party of 4 shared 2 brushettas. These were very tasty but as I thought before with Milano's they don't offer enough tomato. I dined on the Padana pizza, as always. Staff were very accomodating when asked if it were possible to get the Margarita Leggera on a normal base and even offered to place the salad on top as it would normally appear on the Leggera. To finish 3 of us had the chocolate glory and 1 of us had profiteroles. In hindsight it was far too heavy after having half a starter and a main. The only negative thing I would say about Milano's is that I find the wine list quite expensive in comparison to other Italian restaurants.

Milano (Galway) 4.5 star review: Milanos is great value for money. We were on a hen & had a table of 26 and the service was quite good. The set menu was only €25 including a glass of wine & the food was very good. In fact, there was so much food, alot of us couldn't even finish it. It's nice to go somewhere that gives you a satisfying meal at a low price.

Milano (Galway) 4.5 star review: I had not been to Milano in many years and having never been disappointed before I was sure it was a safe bet! Indeed it was. The place was buzzing and as we had not booked, waited for just 15mins for a table. My buddy and I opted for simple starters and both couldn't resist the pizza. All was washed down with a delicious red. Very tasty. The service was prompt and the staff very facilitating. Brilliant value for money to complete the evening. Not to be missed!

Milano (Galway) 4.0 star review: Came here for lunch with a friend. The restaurant is lovely, nice and spacious, plenty of tables, and loads of natural light. The massive photos of Galway's festivals are a tad tacky.
I had a Pizza which was quite nice, but it could've done with a bit more garnish. I had a Cheesecake for dessert which was ok, but felt as if it had been sitting in the fridge for a while.
Service was friendly and efficient.
I'd recommend this place for a quick lunch, or a meal with your kids, as they seem to cater well for the little ones.

Milano (Galway) 4.0 star review: On the occasion that other pizza places are full on Quay st, this is the place to go! It has a fast turnover, because it is very efficent! The food is really tasty and the service really good! Its a great palce for a Date!! I wa shere on Sunday evening, It was pretty full, service was friendly. I think its a bit overpriced on starters which are small, but overall its a a handy place to grab a quick bite!

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
