I won't be rushing back here anyday soon the food was basic the staff a bit rude and not enough customers to create an atmosphere and with so few customers I would think the waitress would notice when the food was finished instead of leaving the finished plates on the table for 10 mins before asking if we would like anything else next time I will walk on by unless I want a beer on a nice day then ill sit in their beer garden which is quite beautifull

Fab place, great service, brilliant for steak, they do great steak on the stones nights. Loads of special offers on wine. The only thing is we went on steak night and it was incredibly smoky also the tables were all full and quite squished together ( packed as a result of the great food and deals!)

Visited The Queens Bar with my partner for the first time last Sunday afternoon. It was busy but by no means overrun. We were extremely disappointed with both the service and the food. We waiting 45 mins for our food and had to ask twice if it was on its way. The waitress told us the first time that it was being plated up (she didn't seem very concerned that we were waiting that long), however we still had to wait 10 minutes before it arrived, however we had also asked again in the meantime, when what looked like the head waiter came and asked us if everything was okay. He apologized and said they were very busy because of the weather. It was mild out but dull and cloudy and we had heard a waitress tell another customer that they were not serving food outside due to being understaffed, so I don't know understand what the weather had to do with it. Also none of the wait staff seemed to have any urgency about them for such a 'busy' afternoon. When the food arrived it was luke warm to cold but we were starving at this point so ate it anyway. I got the burger and chips; the burger was okay however the option of chips was tiny for a 12 euro meal. We just wanted to leave at this stage so my partner went up to pay rather than waiting for the bill. When he got to the register there was several staff present however none paid any attention to him and he could see and hear that some sort of an argument was going on and one of the waitress was upset. He then sought out the waiter who had approached us previously and gave him the cash directly and let him know of our complaints. Neither of us are fussy when it comes to a bit of Sunday pub grub lunch and have never complained in the past; but we will not be going to Queens again.
