River Bistro Restaurant 2.0 star review: Offers only one vegetarian mains, which was very poor. They just took some peppers and onions, threw in some 5 spice, put it on top of some plain rice. The chef is either very unskilled or just hates vegetarians! Luckily I had a voucher and didn't have to pay as I would have felt very ripped off.

River Bistro Restaurant 5.0 star review: Stopped by this hotel on the way home from an appointment in Galway Hospital. Very convenient...just far enough out of the city and along the roadside with easy parking at the front.Was greeted immediately and shown to our seats and given a menu. Place was busy as it was late lunchtime.Given ample time to decide and my meal was just gorgeous. I had the seafood skewers i think they were called.4 different types of fish (including salmon and monkfish) on skewers with peppers and red onions on a bed of rice with a beautiful creamy sauce. I had a beautiful chocolate dessert. My daughter and sister-in-law who were acompanying me had an equally enjoyable meal.It wasn't overpriced. I would recommend this restaurant.

River Bistro Restaurant 2.0 star review: I ordered garlic bread for my started and when I got it, it was cold.
My boyfriend had to return his stake cause it wasnt hot!
We did complain about it and they didn't seem too bothered.
I wont be going back again.
They just didnt try to please you!

River Bistro Restaurant 5.0 star review: I have eaten in the River Bistro several times. Each time I visit I know that everything will be perfect. From the time you enter until you leave to pay your reasonable bill, you are greated by a friendly face. The food is always excellent with good sized portions and I find that the menu is well set out with different portions. The good value extends to the pub lunches. Whenever I can, I arange to have any business meetings here as the food never fails to make an impression on my guest. Remember, in business, you will never get a second chance to make a first impression!!
