An absolutely great night here last night. Choice on the menu was huge very hard to choose one thing. The white chocolate cheese cake was second to none and it was huge slice gorgeous. Music was brill altogether. Only complaint was there was no Pernod. But have to say for value for money, a great nights entertainment, lovely staff, head to this bar. Brilliant.

Ate here a couple of weeks ago with a table of 4 for lunch. When I first walked the atmosphere was very warm and relaxed but there was no one to greet us on arrival so we just sat down at a table.Very friendly waitress came to us with menus which were very old and i think nicely presented menus are needed asap!waitress told us the specials very professionally and made them sound really good!most of the us went for soup for starter and tasted very nice with a choice of brown bread or roll which is good we were cleared away and the wait of 30 mins was a bit to much especially at lunch time and waiting that long the Main course's were a bit of a let down I had the lasagne and not many flavors to it a bit tasteless tbh and the rest of the group had chefs specials the pie and a C.salad wraps and they were just as disappointed as I was so we said we'd try one or two desserts as they were very cheap at €4'50 we said sure why not along with coffees but coffees took 15mins and well when the desserts arrived I took one look at them and said "factory" made dessert's presentation was good but the taste wasn't there bill was cheap enough though would i rush back no!! it's slapdash pub food if that's what your after this is the place to go

Meant to write this weeks ago. :)
Myself, mum, dad, sister and her two children went here for my birthday a few weeks back and had a brilliant night.
Firstly the food was well above scratch for a bistro style menu. Huge selection of starters, mains and deserts. Every single plate of food that came out was cleared.
Secondly the value for money was brilliant, came to less than €200 for all six of us and thats including drinks aswell.
But most importantly this place have the most wonderful staff. The bar staff are helpful, prompt and friendly. The bistro staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much for them and they give off a wonderful sense of calm. This is especially welcome with children, my niece (6) and nephew (8) dont usually like eating out as they are afraid to be, well, themselves. here they were made to feel totally at home.
In short if you are looking for a place for an evening out with all the family I cant recommend this place highly enough. Great for kids and adults alike.

Pub grub at its best! I eat here quite often it is local and they offer lunch menus at a very reasonable price making eating out with the family very affordable. The staff are very friendly and very good with the children. My last visit was on a bank holiday monday and it was very busy but there was plenty of staff so this didn't effect the service and there was entertainment for the kids. The food was lovely as always.

I love eating out and have tried a lot of places around Tallaght/Firhouse as pub grub goes this exceeds all. The cafe bar itself is modern, the food is on a par with restuarants but at pub grub prices. The service is excellent and friendly and I couldnt recommend it enough for couples, friends or families.

What a joy to find this liitle jem.I have to say the service is excellent and the choice of menu is vast.I had the mixed grill and my partner the roast beef which was generous and very well cooked, bit skimpy on the chip portion that came with the mixed grill.
I have visited the Kiltipper bar before and I will definitely visit again, the food is always cooked fresh and the staff are cheery and pleasent.
