Great service from the staff. The food however was a dissapointment. The number of options on the early bird menu was very limited. It was not very good value considering the small portions we got and the quality of the steak was very poor. We wont return here again.

Not much of an atmosphere for a Sunday evening and a lot of young children in the restaurant but they were well behaved. Service was excellent, food was really good. We both had rib eye steak and it was cooked to perfection, best steak we've had in a long time.

The restaurant is really nice and a good setting for an afternoon tea. However the food is very average and didn't really excite us. It definitely needs a wow factor or I won't be rushing back. Ambience and staff were very nice though.

Really enjoyed afternoon tea at the Park. Restaurant is lovely and it was a nice bright sunny day so it was lovely to look out at the garden. The food was delicious and it was nice and relaxed. It was a good way to catch up friends as there was no time limit on how long you spent at the table.

We went to the bar through the lobby to say we had a booking for afternoon tea.The bar man didn't understand us and consulted with a lady behind the bar. He came back and asked us to take a seat in the lobby and he would bring it over to us. We took our seat. By chance a waitress was walking by and asked if we were being looked after. We said we had a booking for afternoon tea. She then brought us to a different area and asked us to wait outside and somebody would be with us shortly. In the mean time the bar man appeared with two cups of tea!! At the same time a waitress came out and showed us to our table in the Park Restaurant. The room was pleasant but the lobby and patio area had a better atmosphere. The food was very nice. A suggestion would be to give another round of sandwiches, a pot of tea each and clotted cream for the scones. Also allow people have the afternoon tea in the lobby and patio area. It will bring it to more people's attention. I overheard the table beside us complain that for the price they should of had a setting each. Overall it was nice but expensive for what you got. The waitress in the Park Restaurant was very helpful.

I brought my mam for afternoon tea here and I have to say it was 10 out of 10. We were seated by the window the restaurant was fairly empty with just a bit of music playing. We got our tea 1st then the beautiful stand of goodies. The sandwiches were nothing fancy but tasted great. I particularly loved the smoked salmon on brown bread which had a small lemon wedge on it great touch. The highlight was the desserts the macaroons were the best followed closely by the mini pannacotta. I have to say everything was great including the service we will definately be back.

The food and the service were excellent. But as we visited on a Saturday afternoon the hotel itself was thronged with families and the foyer and reception area was very noisy...this didn't seem quite the atmosphere for afternoon tea. However the specific place where the food was served was lovely and quiet. Another small complaint was the parking as you have to get a code to leave the parking area...very easy to forget and a bit of a pain to have to go back inside and get it. Nevertheless I enjoyed my visit and would return again.
