Tante Zoes 5.0 star review: Went here with a voucher , this is a great spot! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, i couldn't decide what to have so the waiter suggested i have half portions of two dishes! I would highly recommend this restaurant as the food was lovely as was the whole dining experience!

Tante Zoes 0.5 star review: Hands down worst restaurant experience ever! Ordered a mixed platter to share for starter, fishcake was tasty and prawns were fine, however the chicken wings we were served were extremely undercooked - basically raw and bloody on the inside so obviously inedible. The waiter in fairness was extremely apologetic and assured us there would be no charge for the starter. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and moved on to the main course which was fried chicken, which unbelievably again was completely undercooked - raw! Needless to say we made a swift exit at this point and will not be returning. Maybe just a dodgy chef on that night but two courses of raw chicken is not excusable in my book!

Tante Zoes 5.0 star review: We had booked a voucher deal for two, food was tasty but not out of this world and it was a bit too dark in the room to see your food, staff were a bit slow but helpful the restaurant was busy. The only negative i have is that the seats sank in and hurt the backs of your legs.

Tante Zoes 3.0 star review: Dined at this restaurant on a deal. Sometimes they don't work out but I'd heard great things about Tante Zoes. The retaurant wasn't busy when we arrived, 6pm on a Thursday eve. Our waiter was very nice at first. Our starters of Alabama Rissoles and Garlic and Chili prawns were delicious. Our mains arrived, I'd ordered the Jambalaya, so tasty. My friend ordered the blackened salmon which unfortunately was very raw on the inside. No big deal, we sent it back to be thrown back on the pan but it was a good 10-15 minutes before it came back by which time I had finished my main. We ordered coffee and dessert. We got the coffee but after a while the waiter came back to check what we'd ordered, also no biggie but, when he finally arrived back with the dessert, one of them was wrong. When we'd finished dessert, we got asked to move to the "Bar" area to finish our drinks with the offer of another glass of wine each because the restaurant had gotten so busy. We didn't mind, but we finished our wine and the extra glass never came so in the end we just left feeling very dissapointed. The food that we got was good but the service badly let them down.

Tante Zoes 4.5 star review: Dined here with 4 others on a voucher deal - €39 for 3 courses + bottle of wine which was excellent value as all main courses are over €20. For starters I had the BBQ spare ribs (or should I say rib) but it was very sweet - not at all like bbq. My friends had the fish cake and were very impressed. For main I had the blackened chicken which comes with spicy wedges veg and two sauces but the wedges were far too spicy. One diner asked if she could get chips instead as she couldn't eat the wedges as they were too spicy and she was accommodated but as they were obviously trying to get the chips out to her in a hurry, they arrived only half-cooked. The desserts were disappointing as those we wanted were not available, although this was a 6:30 sitting! 3 of us opted for the Key Lime Pie which was very very sweet and although at first glance was disappointed with the tiny portion was glad when I tasted it. One of our party commented on the tiny portion and was given a second one at no extra charge so while service was good, music was too loud for conversation and we had to ask for it to be turned down.

All in all restaurant was really lovely and clean but food is very pricey and spicy.

Tante Zoes 0.0.0 star review: We went there last night unfortunately we got a very bad experience. 1st No concept of time. We took an advance booking but there was no table free for us when we get there on time. We were sent to a seat area for waiting. When we asked the staff how long do we have to wait ? She couldn't answer us just told us like they try to let the customer leave soon. At last we were waiting for exactly half hour to get the table. We were confused the meaning of " appointment " and we don't understand what's the point we have to make a booking before. 2nd No food let you order. After half hour delay for the table when we took the order, most of what we want was told no left because of too busy today. So we reluctantly chose some food which we don\'t really want. And something taste horrible. We can't believe how this restaurant became " Ireland famous one hundreds of restaurants" before and got so many good reviews online. 3rd Rude services. The staff service was very rude, we know we were not in a 4* restaurant. So we couldn't ask too much. But at least the staff has to handle gently when they serve to the others. At last the manager made an apology to us, but for us that's all excuse. The treatment what we got from beginning to end, we have to say " NOT WORTH A TRY "

Tante Zoes 4.5 star review: Cannot recommend this place enough! This was my second visit on a deal and it was again a fantastic dining experience. The staff are great and the food is wonderfully different. My only small negative was that the restaurant was a little on the cold side so I had to keep my jacket on for a bit. I had the jambalaya this time and it was super tasty and the perfect amount of spice. My other half had the meatloaf and this was gorgeous, amazing seasoning. Also try the cornbread, beautiful! It also has great music in the background!

Tante Zoes 4.5 star review: I've never contributed to a review of anything before but I really wanted to let people about an experience my friends and I had in this restaurant last week. I had booked a special deal but on the night had printed off the wrong voucher, the manager Anthony couldn't have been more accomodating and ended up more or less giving us the same deal. The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely, however the service and the value was exceptional. It had been about 10 years since I'd been to this restaurant and I definitely won't be leaving it so long to return!

Tante Zoes 0.0.0 star review: Recently I purchased a voucher on Deal Rush for the value of E69. This covered starter, main course, dessert and a bottle of wine for 4 people which I thought was fantastic value. We had a reservation for Friday night at 7:30pm but due to the abominable weather conditions in Dublin that evening we had trouble getting a taxi and therefore were 20 minutes late.On arrival we were greeted and told to wait. Ten minutes later the owner Michelle came over and berated us for being over a half hour late.We explained that were waiting for 10 minutes an tried to explain to her why we were late but she refused to listen to us, and was sarcastic and aggressive. She said that she cannot run her restaurant with customers like us. She told us we would have to wait 20 minutes for a table and we agreed that would be fine. We then asked if we could have a drink while we were waiting and she said yes. In the next breath she said no, we couldn't have a drink and that we had to leave because WE had created a bad vibe in the restaurant. We explained that we had prepaid for the meal and were only in Dublin for one night and she told us to take it up with Deal Rush which we did. (Deal rush were fantastic and accommodating and refunded our voucher no questions asked). My partner then asked her to reconsider as I am heavily pregnant and has just traveled many hours from Spain and was feeling very hungry and tired but she also had a snide remark for that too. I have never experienced such an unprofessional, bad attitude in my life .This exchange was in full view of other diners. When were turned out into the heavy rain another customer followed us out to tell us that he could not believe that she had publicly humiliated us like that. He was appalled with her manner and would have walked out only they had prepaid for their meal. He said he will not darken their door again and needless to say neither will we!

Tante Zoes 0.3 star review: Purchases a voucher on dealrush last week for 40€- this was to include 3 course meal and bottle of wine for 2. Had heard great things before about this restaurant and was really looking forward to out visit... I was sadly very disappointed. I rang on Thursday to book the table for sat evening - spoke to the girl and she told me she had booked me in for beween 5.30pm and 6pm . Got there on saturday and there was no booking for me in the book at all?? So had to wait a few minutes to be seated, that was fine until we were seated right in front of the door. Customers kept leaving the door open which resulted in me getting up every 5 mins to close, i asked the waitress could we move , to which she replied 'We've no more tables', There was 4 empty tables beside us!!! We were given a warm bottle of white wine, had 40 minute wait between starters and main course, after 45 mins waiting for dessert which never arrived we just left. Service was an absolute joke - i thought at 1st maybe it was because we were using a voucher but then i noticed that 80% of customers there had vouchers too. Food was only average - i ordered ribs and prawns creole which was nothing special- i could have made both at home. My partner ordered chicken wings which were very tasty , then he ordered southern fried chicken for mains - he was expecting at least a breast of chicken to come but instead he was give 4 drumsticks! We both laughed when they came out - who ever serves/orders drumsticks for mains?? Really wouldnt recommend this place at all - such a pity as i was so looking foward to it .
