Based on the highly successful city centre restaurant trading in South Anne St since 1993, Gotham South Restaurant & Cafe is a casual eatery serving good food in a laid back environment, starting with a light breakfast menu in mid-morning, lunch service commences at midday, carrying right though until late night with an extensive menu.
Our Woodstone oven pizzas are famous throughout Dublin for over twenty-five years. Our pizza dough is freshly made every day, on the premises, using just five ingredients: flour, water, yeast and small amounts of salt and sugar.
In addition Gotham South makes use of a specially imported charcoal-fuelled barbeque to produce our signature Gotham burger plus other specialities such as garlic roasted prawns, BBQ free-range Irish chicken and oven-roasted Thai-style sea-bass.
Our concept is to deliver top quality food, at reasonable prices, in an unpretentious and casual setting. Gotham South is a neighbourhood restaurant where you can relax, chill out and enjoy yourself without feeling too worried about the size of the bill at the end!
We aim to fulfil many needs, being suitable for a quick meal if you are on your way to the cinema or theatre, to a full three course menu with coffee when you are in the mood for a little more.
Gotham Restaurant Group recently took part in the first ever Irish heat of the Global Pizza Challenge and won the Gold Medal.
So now we are officially Ireland's Best Pizza as voted by the Panel of Chefs of Ireland.
We will represent Ireland at the European Finals to be held in the UK in April - if we win that it's on to New Zealand in the Autumn.

Arthur the waiter was charming and offered a sophisticated and helpful yet discreet service. He made the evening for us which was awful outside, and smiled pleasantly thorughout! The other staff should be more attentive and smile, also very hard to catch anyone's eye but Arthur's. He is excellent. Food delicious too thank you.

This is our nearest restaurant so have been many times over the last year! They do an excellent early bird menu with amazing pizzas. My favourite is the lamb burger though. Delicious every time! Never much of an atmosphere here but the service is always friendly and attentive. We keep going back as we know we'll get a good meal every time! Visited for brunch once and was fairly disappointed with portion sizes for what we paid. A winner for dinner though!

Visited this place for brunch on Saturday with family. Garlic bread was 100% to die for. Baby back ribs were lovely. Fish & Chips was nice. The staff were incredibly lovely

We dined here on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was excellent. The place has a real buzz about it and the waiting staff are great.
We had the Italian platter to start and it was amazing, highly recommend it! For mains we had a pizza which we really liked because there were plenty of toppings and thin base. The service was exceptional all night even though they were very busy.
Overall we could not fault this restaurant, it’s really good value for money and we will definitely return.

Ate here again last Friday for a 'girls night. Table booked for 7pm and on arrival the place was buzzing which is lovely to see. Service was excellent - we were served by two excellent young handsome chaps... ;-) they were very tolerant! I had the prawns to start (yum!) and my usual the lamb burger for main...others had the calamari which was delicious and mussels which I was told were excellent too! Also had the Afogato for desert which is simple but excellent. This restaurant hasnt let me down yet!

Been here a few times and really enjoyed the food. Not a pizza lover myself but my daughter loves them. We shared 2 portions of calamari & loved them. Crispy and delicious. One ordered the lamb burger, another steak bagette & I got the fishcakes. All delicious. No desserts as we were full. Our waiter was very helpful. Only downside there seems to be managers on the floor also who are not as helful as the waiters. When I asked one of them for the bill she told me to" WAIT". Not very professional!

8 of us ate here on Sunday early evening - 4 kids and 4 adults and usual this place hits all the right spots. Service was excellent and efficient and food (lamb burger for me!) was excellent. No complaints and a great spot for a family get together to finish off the week. we'll be back!

Really super value, an open kitchen with gorgeous pizza selection, we both chose regular size with chicken, potatoes and scrumptious cheese. Two glasses of house wine at €5.25 each, all in all a great affordable spot.

The food served is excellent but the service offered is more on a need-to basis than a want-to basis making you feel you're a hassle being there. Don't make the mistake of asking for alternative arrangements if the allocated seating doesn't suit the number of guests. Five stars to the kitchen staff, four to the waiters but only one to management.
