Marios Restaurant 3.0 star review: A friend had rated this place as excellent, so I was quite eager to experience Marios. Pleasant layout, and decor. Food was quite average, however the service was a real letdown. The waitress made us feel as if we were doing her a favour ordering food. On the plus side, we had managed to get parking directly outside, so leaving there after eating was quite prompt.

Marios Restaurant 1.0 star review: The service was very poor and the food was unpalatable.
- I ordered the special which was pan roast chicken with roast vegetables tarragon and honey sauce. The dish came out with a coagulated sauce on a very dry overcooked butterflied chicken breast. The sauce was extremely bland. The chicken came with rocket and peppers and not the oven roast veg as advertised. When I question this I was told it didnt come with roast veg. I highlighted the special board said roast veg. 15 minutes later , the waiter brought out broccoli, green beans and asparagus that limp and soggy , cooked within an inch of its life and swimming in butter.
-The person dining with me order the tagitelle al pollo - and described it as "average"
- The waiter cleared my dining partners plate before i was finished and did not come back to clear my plate at any point. We placed my plate to the side on empty table and it was cleared 5 minutes after this. We asked for the bill but nobody came back to us with the bill after more than a 20 minute wait.
- We tried to get the waiters attention numerous times and eventually gave up and went up to the counter to pay.
- I didnt leave a tip as the service was so poor. I have never not tipped before.
- The main course at 16.95 was an absolute disgrace. In hindsight, i probably shouldnt have paid for it.
-I would not recommend anyone dine in this overpriced restaurant , with poor quality food.

Marios Restaurant 4.0 star review: ate here for a birthday meal last week and really enjoyed it. Prawns for starter, were a generous portion as were the other starters, Chicken and Asparagus Pasta for main, couldn't fault for a pasta dish. Pizzas are very large portion. dessert was lovely, would recommend the banoffi pie. the 2 course meal plus glass of wine was 20 euro, well worth the money. The service was average, however it was very quick and efficient.

Marios Restaurant 5.0 star review: Mario's has been in Sandymount nearly 10 years now, and is still the good local restaurant its always been, as there's not many in the area at all. Three of us went on Friday at 6pm, and got a table straight away without a booking. Its not a romantic type place though, but as we were just looking for a quick bite before off to the RDS, we were delighted with their early-bird menu at just €20 for 2 courses plus a glass of wine. Generous size starters of prawns(6) with salad leaves, and warm beans & salad were very welcome, plus the glasses of red & white wines we had were quite acceptable for the offer. We had mains of locally made beefburger with loads of chips, chicken risotto and grilled salmon on a bed of mash in pesto and we complimented all dishes to the manager on leaving. Try it out before off to any local gig like the Grand Canal theatre, Sandymount Greyhound Racing or RDS for the rugby; you'll not be disappointed.

Marios Restaurant 4.0 star review: Not a bad restaurant, I think it has improved a lot over the recent years. The food is good, not great, not bad. Service is good but that is largely due to the fact that whenever I have been there it has been quiet. The interior of the restaurant is nice, modern, lots of light. Prices are average. A reasonable restaurant.

Marios Restaurant 5.0 star review: I live in the area and have eaten in Marios many times over the years. I had not been in in about 12 months and popped in for something recently. I was pleased to still recognise some of the staff who as always were very welcoming and friendly. There was also a new menu and what looks to be a new chef. We were delighted as one of the reasons we had not been in a while was it had become monotonous.

We had the Antipasto to start and it was very good. My partner had the fillet steak and I had the vegetarian Canelloni. Both were extremely good! We will be going back again for sure!

Marios Restaurant 2.0 star review: They're beginning to skimp at Mario's. staff are rushed as there are less of them. Our usual starter the Anti Pasta Misto doesn't have the sundried tomatoes anymore. Lack lustre, poor.
Had lasagne, wasn't great either. Standards are slipping, and we don't deserve it
