We visited here on a deal we got off the internet and what a disappointment. Especially as the reviews we read were mostly good. I ordered the homemade burger and at under €10 it was fine but my husband ordered fillet steak and if we had to pay the full €24.95 we would have sent it back. It was cut into two 2 cm thick (or should i say thin) pieces and came well done rather than medium rare as ordered, it had one mushroom the size of an old penny and no sun-blushed tomato as stated on the menu and the pepper sauce was tasteless. The pub itself looked a bit jaded but the staff were friendly and helpful. Needless to say we won't be revisiting it.

I was feeling a little peckish today so was passing Lamb Doyles and decided to go in. They have a new menu and decided to try the wings for starter and they were really great. Good size portion and wings were of a high standard. I had Cod & Chips for mains and it was fantastic. Hand battered cod, this was the real deal and great fresh cut chips. The last time I was here they had Indian food which is not my cup of tee so it was very refreshing to see a new menu with great variety and real value. the servive was great and very frendly and I will be a regular for sure.

An unlikely undiscovered gem.. Indian food to this standard served in a pub is unusual to say the least. The service is second to none. If you can see past the fact you are sitting in an old style irish pub smelling indian food and you can create your own atmosphere then you will definitely come back. They also deliver!

I went here for an indian meal with a group of friends recently. The service is really friendly and quick, and the food delicious. This is only the second indian meal i have had in Lamb Doyle's but some of my friends have been many more times, and none of us could find a bad word to say about it. We will definitely be back, and soon!

We stopped off for a quick bite, whilst in the area a couple of toasted sandwiches and a drink each. One with cheese, tomato & onion and one ham & cheese, both were served with a plain side salad and a handful of chips. The food was cheap and cheerful, and was exactly what we required at that moment in time. I wouldn't consider the venue somewhere for a Sunday treat, more a quick stop off when hunger strikes. Having said that, there was a far more comprehensive menu available should we have required it, the more traditional Sunday Carvery / Lunch affair. The service was very attentive, although there weren’t too many customers in the pub at that time. I just wanted to update my previous review to give some well deserved praise to the Indian cuisine on offer. I ate here for a second time, and opted for the Indian Menu, the food was exceptionally good, especially given you are in a Pub. I had a couple of side dishes with a Naan bread, and was given poppadoms and dips whilst I waited. The flavour of both dishes was great, with just the right amount of spice as not to destroy the wonderful taste. As before the service was excellent, and the meal was great value, I would certainly recommend the Indian menu. I also saw quite a few deliveries going out whilst I was there.

I Have to say...it wasn't great. I was there for lunch on a sunday. 2 matches were showing, but that didn't bother me. The food is just a bit crap. The chicken wings were awful. The steak sandwich was practically all grizzle, which made my stomach churn! Breaded mushrooms were alright. And the caesar salad was a bit dead. The place is dated and a bit grubby. The only positive thing is that the staff were friendly and very helpful. I expected food to be a lot better as it's a well known spot. sad :(

I've gone to Lamb Doyles before but never made a review, I normally try Pizza but that day I tried a large meal with meat and potatoes and it was the nicest food I've ever tasted in south Dublin. I would highly recommend it to people who want nice food at a good price.

I have been to Lamb Doyles a number of times, and have always been impressed. I was here a few weeks back and I had nacho's for starters and chicken goujons with chips for main course, all of which tasted good. The portions were big, the service was good and the prices were ok too. I noticed they have a new indian menu too but they still serve alot of the food from the old menu. Good place to eat after playing pitch and putt which is up the road. Will be back

Lamb Doyles has an indian restaurant as well as the standard menu in the pub now. I believe the Indian side is called Maharaja. The food is amazing, best Indian food I've tasted in Dublin. Definitely recommend - staff are lovely. Do take out too.
