Celebrating its 20th year of serving imaginative, authentic Sichuan food in the unique setting of an old church hall. Real Sichuan cooking is unlike Cantonese, eastern or northern Chinese styles, and unlike any other outside China. Recommended in the MICHELIN Guide, using only the finest ingredients, favourites such as Prawns with wild Sichuan pepper and fresh chilli, Braised whole bream in chilli bean sauce with whole garlic have maintained a very loyal following. Our Summer Value Menu, served Sunday to Thursday all night and Friday & Saturday 5.30 to 7.30 offers excellent choice and incredible value.

Zen 3.5 star review: Went for a meal here on Saturday night. Really enjoyed the meal, especially the Aromatic Duck. Staff were attentive and very courteous Quite busy. Wouldn`t hesitate to return for another meal. Was great value as a Menupages deal. Well done.

Zen 3.5 star review: 4 of us ate here on saturday night. The place was not that busy. It was a bit on the cool side, they could have done with a bit more heat.on in the restaurant. We were beside a fire which had some heat from it.The service was prompt & the food very good. We enjoyed our meal & had two vouchers, which made it v good value.

Zen 5.0 star review: Visited Zen early in the New Year to escape the January blues and I have to say I was mightily impressed. Overall I am struggling to find fault. I live reasonably local to Zen but it’s one of those places where you always say I must go there some time it looks great. Well this was that time. Very nice decor in the entrance area and we (table for 2) were brought to our table beside a lovely fireplace. The restaurant is a very open, airy and bright space. The service is not in your face but accessible when required. My main issue was that I wanted to order everything on the menu. We got a sample of starters to start off and the Pang Pang chicken was a big hit. Spicy, shredded breast of chicken - simple but exquisite. Onto the main. My partner got a dry, spicy prawn dish with noodles, I just about got to get a prawn, yum! I went for the beef with hot bean sauce. I was informed it was a house special and the beef was fillet. It really hit the spot. We had a good bottle of wine from an uncomplicated wine menu to wash it all down. Zen really redefined my perception of Chinese restaurants in Dublin. My go to Asian food has been Thai for quite some time, but not anymore. I will absolutely go back to Zen, I'm actually trying to arrange my next work night out there. And they do take out too! 5 out of 5 for me.

Zen 4.5 star review: We had a voucher which was worth exactly the Chinese New Year special for 2. We had a range of starters plus lettuce boats of minced pork and a range of dishes including sea bream in garlic and chillies, Lamb with green peppers and duck in orange sauce with a choice of steamed or fried rice. All for one voucher!!!! The food was all delicious and more than plentifull. I think we were lucky, the night that was in it. Will be back..

Zen 1.5 star review: What a pity ,I was so looking forward to enjoying my first visit to this Restaurant.I had been given a present of a voucher valued at £50 for Christmas ,and I believe this was the reason for the poor reception we got. The waitress never spoke to us ,she was most unfriendly while serving our table, and didn't even bother to check as to whether we were happy with our meal or not. We had spring rolls for starters, which i would not recommend ,had lamb curry for main meal with rice which was nice, but not what i expected, then coffee to finish, not at all good value for money in my view. Not at all happy with the experience, and feel the Company should do something about their PR.

Zen 1.5 star review: Had heard good reports of Zen but we were very disappointed when we dined there last Thursday evening. Had meat sung to start. Had never had this before & found it bland and the rice 'noodles' were not what I thought they would be. Basically rice cakes minced. Very dry. I ordered spicy beef fillet but it was far from spicy & the beef was a little 'chewy'. My companion ordered chicken Kung Pao but the chicken was diced in small identical cubes & was a bit plastic. Certainly was not fresh chicken. Bland sauce also. Wont be back
