Excellent place that I never knew of. Went for lunch today and we had a couple of Panini, salads and caprese with coffee. This is a lovely place with top produce, I recommend the Pinocchio's cakes and biscuits....very tasty. Compared to other cafe's around the area it cant be beaten for quality and the coffee is great too. The waitress was really nice with us. Love it

We knew already the reputation of this Restaurant because our friends living close to Ranelagh Village. For us was the first time and I can defnitely saying that it was our best Italian meal in one year in Dublin. I loved the fact the waitress explain us the different dishes and suggested us the right food for the evening. A lovely wine list and a great atmosphere. The highlight of the mail was without doubt the Tuna steak! Went back for a coffee and a slice of cake the day after, really good again. Finally i found a please where to enjoy a proper espresso.

Forgive me for my english. I'm italian on holiday in Ireland. I come from Molise Region and I heard good things in Italy about Pinocchio because I come from the same place of the owners. I had a nice dinner to conclude our holiday with all our group. The best thing, a part the food, was the service and seeing all the italian products on the shelves, We use the same products in our home. The Lamb is fantastic and we really suggest to try the home made cakes. Maria.

A great surprise this Restaurant! I'm Spanish and I lived in Italy for 12 years so I know well the Italian food. Living in Ireland since 2008 and working in this industry I tested a great number of restaurant in Dublin. Most of them were Italian and a part Il Vicoletto in Temple Bar, I never had a good experience. Actually I felt really disappointed all the time. At Pinocchio instead I had a superb meal that reminded me my stay in Milan. My guest was impressed and I have to say after my first visit now I'm a regular at Pinocchios. Like start I ordered a caprese salad, beautiful! Like main a generous portion of irish Lamb, delicious! My guest had ravioli and sea bream, I tested both of them as well and were really nice. the waiting staff is very attentive and warm. I feel at home in this place of Ranelagh Village. Recommended!

This is the first time I write a review. It's really easy to make me happy as a customer because I work in catering many years now and I'm always very understanding because I know how hard this job is.. But I can't stand rude and lazy staff and this is what I've experienced in this place. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, there were three tables, plus us (a couple) and in total maybe ten customers, including us. Two waitresses on the floor and we had to ask for the bill THREE TIMES and WAIT ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES. Each time we asked, (in a nice way, please, smile and thanks, as always) they answered "yes, sure, the bill", but they kept chatting and laughing behind the counter. It's been extremely annoying and rude of them, as they weren't busy at all, they were just messing. No apologies were done for the delay and even if the food was nice, we aren't going back to Pinocchio.

We were seated next to a large party on arrival. Not great considering there were lots of other tables. We could have chosen another table but didn't realise the noise would be so loud. It wasn't just the proximity of the table it was overall. It's one of those loud restaurants i don't like.
Whilst taking our coats off we were asked almost immediately if we wanted water. We said yes & assumed it would be a jug of tap water. No, it was a bottle of water at 3.50 a pop. I felt a bit rushed in to this unesscessary expense. I never pay for water.
I chose a mushroom ravioli. It was tasty but i could have eaten more. My bf had chicken on a skewer it was very sparse looking. The potato was on the skewer too & not much else on the plate. He was done in a few minutes & was talking about going home to eat more. He could have eaten four times the amount.
We just wanted a decent main. And not to have 2 or 3 courses to be full. And not to leave hungry. We could have bought 2 singles of chips with the 3.50 they got out of us for the stupid water!
I won't go back.

I bumped into Pinocchio coming off the LUAS last week, it was raining and I went in for some food and warmth. The atmosphere was really good. The food was really nicely presented and extremely tasty. The smiles of the waiters made it even tastier. Definitely coming back.

I had passed by Pinicchio a few times and was tempted by the smell (im a big fan of Italian food) after my friend highly reccomended trying Pinocchio I decided It was a must
Myself and a good friend of mine went on a quite Monday evening perfect for us as were not ones for spending 3 hours enjoying our meal.
I have to say Pinocchio did not dissappiont I started with the pasta fagiola which I had never even heard of before but the waiter reccomended me and it was one of the most tastiest dishes I have ever had. For main I had a beautifully cooked tuna steak with roast potato and drizzel of the most wonderful balsamic vinegar you will ever have (had to buy a bottle of it to bring home) I finished off with a yummy Tirimisu and was left very satisfied.
I am already planning a return visit and would highly recommend Pinocchio to any true Italian food lover,

Really really enjoyed my meal in Pinocchio Restaurant the other night - couldn't fault the food or the service in any way.
When we entered the restaurant we were greated with a great big smile and immediately hit with the friendly warm atmosphere.
The Tuna Steak stood out!
