We went on a Menupages deal which made it great value. Very busy on Saturday night and, from past experience, we knew to go early as it can be too busy around 8-9:30 and so the service level can drop at that time. Food is always great. Staff are friendly. Lovely ambience. Would go again any time, but to make it good value, I'd grab a Menupages deal to do so. It would be a bit too pricey for me if I didn't have a deal.

Baan Thai, Sandyford is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent, and the service, atmosphere and value is great.
I generally have the Satay Chicken for starters. You get 4 pieces of chicken breast with the best Satay sauce in Dublin. I am partial to the Duck dishes, you get a good portion of duck, and the variety of sauces is excellent. On this visit I had Stir Fried Fillet of Beef with a Red Curry Sauce, it was beautiful and definitely fillet of beef, unlike some other Asian restaurants. My wife recommends the Hot Chicken Plate, with Oyster Sauce.
We will definitely be back again and again, as I mentioned, its one of our favorite restaurants.

Very good family meal. Service friendly and attentive. Busy even at 6:30 on Saturday so we would recommend booking. Enjoyable dinner and we will be back.

Love this restaurant. I've been going for years now and have never been disappointed. I love their Thai Green Curry. They do a great early bird, and lunchtime menu which is only a tenner. They do takeaway which is only a tenner before 7pm. My favourite Thai restaurant!

I hadn't been to Baan Thai for a few years and went on Saturday night with 6 others. We were really looking forward to it having read some good reviews. Sadly though, we didn't have a great experience. The place was cold despite being quite busy and one of our party had to keep a coat on as the breeze from an overhead fan was so strong. The service was very hit and miss too - 6 out of 7 starters arrived and we asked for the remaining one. Five minutes later they arrived with something we hadn't ordered. Eventually the correct oe came but by then, the six others had finished theirs. The food itself was very nice - lovely flavours and good sized portions. The prices are far too high though (we were ordering off the á la carte menu as there was no choice at the time we were there). The staff were not pleasant and service was inconsistent. Overall, and despite the nice food, we all agreed that it's too pricey for what it is, the service was poor so we won't be returning.

Thanks once again to Menupages we (a party of 6) dined here on 3 vouchers that allowed us to get €40 worth of food for €20, although the restriction was to order off the A La Carte rather than the early bird though we were there at 6pm. Nevertheless the food was divine. We ordered the Ruam Combo mixed platter to share to start - a gorgeous selection of appetisers including Chicken Satay, Spring Rolls, Pork toasts, Wrapped Prawns and Won-tons. Everything was very tasty served with dips. For mains we shared Chicken Cashew Nuts, Beef with Garlic and Black Pepper, and Jumbo Prawns Flambé. We ate everything with gusto and didn't leave a crumb of fragrant steamed rice. We all remarked that we would go back without hesitation as soon as we could. Next time we will try the early bird which seems to be excellent value.

We have been to Baan Thai many times and have always enjoyed the experience. We were not let down on this occasion. We had booked through Menu Pages and were using a voucher but it made absolutely no difference. We had a lovely meal, the food was great, service very good and there is a decent wine list with prices that are very competitive compared to many other restaurants. We will be back !
