The Gables Restaurant and Wine Bar is situated in the pretty village of Foxrock, one of South Dublin’s most affluent areas.
Set in an old Victorian property that once housed Findlaters food shop, The Gables has kept with the theme of offering Fine Wine and Food.
We are a 65 seater restaurant with adjoining Wine Shop serving Bistro style food throughout the day, 7 days a week.
The Gables is the perfect place to relax over a cup of coffee, waste away a Sunday afternoon over brunch and the paper, have a more formal dinner or even just a glass of wine from our extensive list with some tapas.
We look forward to welcoming you no matter the occasion.

The Gables 5.0 star review: Very friendly and helpful staff and great atmosphere. The menu offered great variety and offered interesting options. We availed of the 2 course lunch menu option which was very good value. I would definitely return.

The Gables 5.0 star review: I couldn't fault our visit to the Gables last Sunday for Mothers' Day. Food was delicious and there was also a great kids menu to keep the little ones happy. The service was excellent and we got great value - 2 courses for €19.99 and half price bottles of wine! We'll definitely be returning.

The Gables 4.5 star review: Was here with family on Mothers Day. Great atmosphere and vey busy. There was a special menu for €19.95 for two courses which was great value and for the kids a €9 menu to include a main course, drink and ice cream. Food was excellent with great service.
To top it all they took a photo of our family and when we were leaving gave us a framed copy. It was a great memento.

The Gables 5.0 star review: Had an amazing meal at the Gables on Thursday. It was Valentine's night so there was a lovely buzz inside and was very impressed to be greeted by a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival. We both opted for the spcecial value evening meal with a starter and main for 20 euro. My squid salad was the nicest squid I have ever eaten! The whole meal was really delicious and the staff incredibly friendly. It was also extremely good value. Couldn't recommend a trip to the Gables highly enough. I'm already looking forward to a return visit!

The Gables 4.0 star review: Visited on a very quiet Monday evening on the strength of other reviews. The downside of the visit was the fact that only two other tables were occupied. The starter of celariac and apple soupd was very tasty and whilst I had the beef, my partner had the baked fish on a bean and chorizo broth (rather like a fabada). The food was delicious, the service attentive and the price was very reasonable.
I would very definitely return - probably with a larger group!

The Gables 4.0 star review: Popped up to The Gables spontaneously for a casual bite to eat and a glass of wine a few Fridays ago. There was a lovely atmosphere with live music and some people just having a glass of wine or beer at the bar. Although they offered an Early Bird menu all evening we opted for A la Carte which was very good quality and still very good value. We have also gone here for a weekend Brunch a number of times and it is very pleasant.

The Gables 5.0 star review: Whow!! I hadn't been to the Gables for a couple of months and was having a Girlie afternoon yesterday. We decided to meet at the Gables, as usual from the time you enter the restaurant you are met with such warmth and professionalism. We were seated and handed a fantastic new menu "Life"really well put together with many new options,Breakfast in now served until 4pm, a children's menu, excellent vegetarian options, for me personally I had the Spanish Omelette it was succulent and the best I have every tasted. Great Vino, atmosphere, great time, Thanks, I won't leave it two months next time in fact I will be going up this Friday to listen to the Jazz and have some tapas

The Gables 5.0 star review: We had dinner here for mothers day on Monday as Sunday is always way too busy.
We arrived at 5pm and were shown to a nice table. The wines were on promotion and we had a really nice Italian wine for 12 per bottle!!!
I had a crayfish and prawn pilpil which was served with tomato bread and was really tasty. I had pork for my main course which was well presented but could have been a bit hotter.
We all had a really enjoyable meal. The service was quite slow as our waiter seemed to be the only one there and seemed really under pressure. Overall we have eaten here a number of times before and will probably be back again

The Gables 4.5 star review: Had lunch here mid week, it much bigger than it looks from the outside. Atmosphere is lovely and the service was excellent - friendly and attentive Nice menu and a child friendly menu. The food was great but the fish pie could have been hotter. The child's bowl of chicken and pasta was just the right size. Well worth the visit.

The Gables 5.0 star review: I went with two friends for an early bird meal. Atmosphere is lovely and the service was excellent - friendly and attentive. Because we chose to eat early they currently offer an excellent selection of wines at half price. This was unbelievable value as the wine we would have chosen anywas was included. Tables were limited to 2 botles which was perfect for us.

I would highly recommennd this for value. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed our meal.
