Great decoration inside, funky urban and relaxing at the same time. The homemade nachos was a real treat. Really enjoy the starter with all sorts of salsa dips. Main course was good but it wasn't memorable. Didn't have a alcoholic drink which the bar looks really good with all sorts of tequilas. Busy place.

3.5 Cortina’s Mexican Restaurant 3.5 star review:
I was disappointed and still a bit hungry leaving Cortinas, had the chicken wings to start , which were lovely followed by the sharing platter, which was bland and lacking it any short of flavour, all the item tasted the same. The other food around looked delicious and whole the service was good, it was a tad slow

Organised a group outing to try their ghost chilli wing challenge for a Saturday night bit of fun with fellow spice fanatics. We were seated quickly and offered drinks that also arrived efficiently. The venue is nice, contemporary and airy. We signed our waiver docs (nice touch) to undertake the super spicy wing eating. In fairness the wings are very very very hot and will leave you with a serious burn for a good hour afterwards. We had some iced cocktails to wash them down and I would highly recommend them. The other non spicy diners amongst us were not overly happy with their mains, prawns were mentioned as being bland and cold. I have had the sharing platter there before - described as Mexican tapas showcasing the specials of the house - pretty oily with a deep fried feeling to all of it - a bit saddening. They do a lot of things well, the staff are well trained, its not cheap or overly expensive. The wings are awesome and need to be attempted. Would go back for a less expensive lunch food try.

A really good restaurant! They have more then one menu for different food allergies which is really good as I'm lactose intolerant. Food was finished to a high standard and really good cocktails too.

So never having tried a Mexican restaurant I was catching up with friends and I suggested going to Cortina's to try something new and it had just opened. We were greeted by a lovely waiter who was so attentive all evening but not overly so and the food was fantastic. We had the platter of salsa to share which was excellent...the waiter took us through the 10 salsas starting with mild to really spicy and for a main I had the enchilladas which where lovely but I had food evny when I saw the fajitas my two friends got. As it was a Monday I didn't try one of the tequila cocktails but I will definitely try them next time on my return. Really worth a visit.

Having never had the guts to try Mexican before I heard of a great restaurant called Cortinas. What can I say about the place, from the management to the chefs to the floor staff we had a great night. Shown straight to our table and drinks were promptly delivered. The waitress explained every dish as I like taste but not too spicy, the food came perfectly presented and quickly, the atmosphere in the place was lovely, and through the duration of the night we were asked on several occasions by the hostess if we needed anything... right from the start I just knew I would come back here......our party left full as boots from the starters...mains...and we even had desserts......lovely wine and beer list to compliment the food....value for money....well lets just say you need to be hungry because the portions are very large.....all in all Cortinas is a great place, fantastic food, great service and friendly staff. I certinaly will be back....

me and my friends always end up going here when she visits from london. The atmosphere is very laid back although the music choice is a little odd (and loud) at times. the brunch special is very good, buttermilk toast to be exact, big portion and comes with strawberries and a sticky sweet sauce.
on my last visit i had the veg Quesadilla again the portion was a good size. my friend had the Tortilla Soup and she had nothing but praise for it. i tasted it but it was on the spicy side for me.
overall the food here is very fresh, although the service can be a little slow and if you dont order when the girl comes to you the first time then it can be hard to get her attention when you are ready. also i have to mention the menu is really large and daunting when you first look at it but at the same time loads of options, will go back again very good value for money.
also if you are like me and dont drink they have a range of mocktails aswell!

We came here on a Friday evening and had a really fantastic experience. The restaurant was recommended by a cab driver and he said it was the best Mexican food in Dublin.
The place had a vibrant buzz, and we hung around the bar and had a Margarita while waiting for our table which we were happy to relax and take in the surroundings. The staff were gracious and my wife, a Dub enjoyed some banter with the locals.
The food was simply amazing, I've eaten Mexican dishes in many a city and country and this is right up there. Everything came as ordered, the servers were attentive and kept the drinks flowing, deserts were delicious and put the perfect end to the evening, we're looking forward tom going back whenever in Dundrum area.

Having been here a few times before we were confident that a visit with friends would be just as nice - unfortunately that wasnt the case. The service was really slow, there seemed to be a shortage of staff despite the place not being too busy. The prices have increased since the last time we were there, coinciding with a decrease in food quality. I must give credit for the gluten free menu though, that's really helpful as a coeliac. It's a pity that the standard has slipped here, it used to be nice, and good value - I guess the quietness of the place on a saturday night speaks for itself. I'm not sure we'll be back.

4 of us ate here sunday, the burritos were overpriced at about €15 (considering you can get much better burritos in numerous establishments for €7-8) the rice, beans and guacamole were served as a very small side on the plate instead of being in the Burrito.
I got a mexican style chicken and bacon sandwich, it was on some homemade tomato bread, which was very greasy, overall the food was not very tasty. The restaurant has a nice spacious layout and the staff were very nice, but for the over priced food alone we will not be returning.
