Al Vesuvio 4.0 star review: A lovely Italian restaurant. Lovely food. Highlights were a starter of the tenderest squid, a main course of fillet steak (cooked exactly as ordered) in a delicious black pepper sauce, and a dessert of authentic tiramisu.

Al Vesuvio 3.5 star review: I ate here with my Girlfriend on Friday Night with the Menupages Deal. The restaurant was remarkably quiet for a weekend. However we were greeted very warmly by our waiter from Rome who was very attentive to our needs. We had the Gamberi Vesuvio and the Insalata di Mare both of which were lovely. We both went with the Filetto one with creamy mushroom sauce and one with pepper. The steaks were superb especially with the creamy mushroom sauce and Fontestozzi Chianti. Deserts were nice nothing out of the ordinary. Only we had the deal the pricing was a little high on the a la carte. The service and food was fantastic. Will definitely return. One comment we had is the front window is a little off putting and gives the place a cheapish feel to something it actually isn't.

Al Vesuvio 4.5 star review: I went here for my boyfriend's birthday. The food was gorgeous. The selection of food on the menu is excellent. I had the veal and it was very tasty. My boyfriend had the lamb and it was lovely too. The value is fantastic and the staff are very friendly.

Al Vesuvio 4.5 star review: My boyfriend and I went to Al Vesuvio on Valentine's Day and had a wonderful experience there. The atmosphere wasn't great - it was very quiet but that's only due to the fact that our reservation was very early. Service was brilliant as the hostess ensured we wanted for nothing and the food was reasonable and delicious - I had chicken wings, lasagne and chips and my boyfriend had anti-pasto italiano and the patate e salsicia pizza. The portions were generous and the price was fair (€47 incl. 4 soft drinks). I'll definitely go back soon.

Al Vesuvio 4.5 star review: We visited Al Vesuvio with Menupages voucher for 2 course dinner with a class of wine each, for 2 persons. We had tomato mozzarella salad and checken wings as starters and pizzas as mains, and everything was delicious. The starters were very generous in size, and the pizzas were exactly, what you can expect them to be, coming from real pizza oven, they have in restaurant. Service was very attentive and polite. Not the cheapest option in town, but definitely worth the money spent.

Al Vesuvio 5.0 star review: I Got a takeaway pizza from this place. 12" for €11. It was amazing! So tasty. The sauce is proper Italian style, slightly sweet. The Pizza bread really authentic. Cooked in a proper fire oven. This is the best pizza I've had in Dublin - period. Milano would not come close. Highly recommend it. Must try some pasta soon.
