Me and a friend stopped in for something to eat in McDonagh's the other day having not been in for years and was plesently surprised by how much we enjoyed our visit.
For starters i had the crock of fresh mussels in curry sauce with some sourdough bread all of which was delicious and a combination i have never had.Then i had the slow roasted pork shoulder on a sourdough roll (no more bread for me this week i think) with homemade apple and onion relish again such good food and cheap too. The service was quick,friendly and attentive, the waitress recommended the chilean sauvignon blanc and it went well with our meal. Despite being full to the brim we could not resist staying for a cofffee which we had in the sun on the outdoor deck area at the back of the bar.
Would recommend this place to anyone and will be coming back especially if the sun is out!
