Idlewilde 3.0 star review: Had brunch here, the waitress lets the place down , very grumpy and sour. The food was tastie and well presented. Poached eggs with bacon extra. Bit pricy with bacon extra. The menus are a bit scruffy though. Overall it's a nice experience and will be back.

Idlewilde 2.0 star review: I am a student entering my last year of school and went here with some friends recently. After waiting for what was an embarrassing length of time just to be acknowledged by those working at the counter I was then made place my order across the cafe. The manner of the waitress was hostile. When I went to pay for the cookie costing €2.99 she took my fiver and handed me back €2, smiling she told me "let's just make it €3" and went straight to the next customer. I definitely will not be going back.

Idlewilde 3.0 star review: Far too expensive for what you get. When your charged Ten Euro for a panini with a bit of side salad it's no wonder that the place is empty. Everything on the menu seems overpriced. Definatly wont be returning, much better value elsewhere

Idlewilde 3.0 star review: nice cafe, service was good and fast, pastries and sandwichs were really nice but this place for a quite little cafe off the main strret was just far too expensive for what it is, 11 euro for a quick bagel on its own is just not right.

Idlewilde 5.0 star review: I love Idlewilde in Dalkey, its a great little place with lovely food and friendly service, they're kid friendly too which really helps, lovely breakfasts and lunch as well as excellent coffee. Staff are always on the ball, its a busy spot so sometimes you may have to wait a few minutes put everything is fresh, so thats fine with me, i'd highly recommend a visit, quaint wee courtyard too..

Idlewilde 0.5 star review: appalling service, we waited 50 minutes for our food (after the wrong order appeared twice at the table). the waitress we were told was in charge on the day was the one to originally take our order told me (when i queried the delay after 45 mins, and twice brought incorrect to our table) that she had given the chef her order, if he didn't listen or get it right it wasn't her fault!!!! no apology!!!!
she ignored us the entire time, buried herself in washing up and ran past our table anytime she had to leave the kitchen area.
sandwiches range from €8 - €12 so Idlewilde is by no means cheap.
I cant believe in these times that a management could be so rude and unprofessional. Customer service lessons would go a long way here.

I will not be returning, nor would I recommend to anybody!!
