3.0 Ouzos Bar and Grill Blackrock 3.0 star review:
Very disappointed with my trip to Ouzos this time. My boyfriend and I used to be regulars here and always had a lovely pleasant meal but it's been a good while since our last visit. The one thing that we both agreed on was that the service let it down, while there were plenty of staff our empty glasses/bottles weren't cleared away despite plenty of staff passing the table. We also had to go find our own coats which I was surprised by. The senior staff are very good and very welcoming but that just wasn't enough.
Food was very good, although the boyfriend thought his steak was a little overdone when he had asked for it medium/rare. While we did enjoy our meal there are definitely some areas to improve on.

Another excellent visit to Ouzo's. Such charming staff - so welcoming, friendly and efficient. Try the grilled lamb cutlets - absolutely delicious! I like the atmosphere there, it is calm and warm during the day, and being alone is never a problem. The welcome is the same. €17.95 for two courses for unfailingly excellent food has to be the best value in town!

Can't quite put my finger on it but something about the Ouzo experience was sub par. Everything was fine, no complaints as such but it wasn't particularly memorable. The crab claws were swimming in a heavy buttery sauce which added nothing. The steak was fine. There just wasn't anything particularly impressive about the place. The real problem is that there are several better options available in the local area... so I'm probably just spoiled!

This restaurant never fails to please on both food and service. As for atmosphere it is very pleasant and once been there the staff seem to remember you or act as they do so this is very welcoming.
Food is always presented with a smile and is I feel one of htethe best value for money venue in South County Dublin.

Really good dinner here. We went for the early bird which was decent value. My partner had salmon which she was very happy with and I have a nice chicken dish. Tasty desert also and a lovely caesar salad to start. Service was very good indeed. It was a very quiet thursday evening when we were there so there wasnt really a bustling atmosphere but I could imagine there being a good atmosphere with more people there. The decor is lovely and the waiter was very good. Recommended.

My boyfriend and I went to Ouzos for a late lunch on Sunday and it was great. We were given an option of a seat near the door or high seat down the back so we chose the back. The service was friendly and efficient.
He started with the potted crab and shrimp (I have had this on a previous occassion and loved it) while I had the caesar salad. For mains he had Fish'n'chips and I had the game pie. This was €17.95 each for the two courses which we felt was great value for the quality of food which was all thoroughly enjoyed. My game pie was especially delicous.
We will be returning soon!

Visited here for our xmas lunch, food was very tasty, but the atmosphere wasn't great, but that may have been due to it being quiet in the restaurant. I am a fan of Ouzos in Dalkey, so will be back for a visit.

I had dinner here with my husband and I loved it. The Crab Claws are to die for and the deals on Lobster are really good. I love seafood and I think this is the best in Dublin. They don't complicate it and serve with lovely fresh salads, avocado and sauces on the side. The service was fine and the atmosphere was fine - tables a bit too close together. Parking in Blackrock is a bit of a nightmare but I would happily walk to Blackrock for those crab claws!!! LOL

My boyfriend and I visited Ouzos last Tue night and really enjoyed the whole experience. The restaurant was full which provided for a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and very efficient without being too obtrusive. We had the lobster/crab feast for two with a bottle of wine all for under 60e which was fantastic value given the quality of food we had. I started with the stuffed portabello mushrooms which were delicious, although the strong flavour from the gruyere overpowered the fresh crab. My boyfriend had the calamari which he couldn't get enough of! He had the surf and turf which was equally gorgeous and cooked just as he had requested. I had the lobster and crab claw salad which was to die for, so fresh and dressed perfectly. We were too full for desserts. The accompanying red wine, Malbec, with this deal was light and very easy to drink! Cant't wait to return

Popped in here last Sunday afternoon, Decor is simple yet chic.I love the lobster tank at the entrance, great idea! Staff were very friendly,we were seated immediately. As it was early there was not many people in the restaurant but by the time we were leaving there were 2 groups of six or more.
I order 2 starters instead of having the early bird menu.
My first was Calamari , which was nice and crispy.
2nd was Scallops, which came out in their shells ,well presented but I would have preferred bigger scallops and sacrificed the quantity.
My 2 companions had the same thing from the early bird menu which was parfit for starters and fish and chips for mains.
The parfit was beautiful, although I thought the fish was a little two oily for me.
A little expensive but nice.
