Akash Indian Restaurant 3.5 star review: Decent Indian, good service and tasty food. Excellent location in the heart of blackrock. I have a lovely chicken balti, rice and good naan bread. Not the best Indian I have been too, but perhaps the best one in the blackrock area.

Akash Indian Restaurant 2.5 star review: The Restuarant had only one table in use when I arrived, and was shown to a table by a young waiter. He provided a menu and wine list and it was some time before he returned to take the order. He was unsure of some of the dishes and may have been new. The tikka masala chicken was very good and was not expensive. The service was slow in the restuarant and the take away was very busy. Clearly they have a good customer base, and a bit more of attention to the Restuarant service would bring customers to eat in a nice Restuarant.

Akash Indian Restaurant 1.0 star review: Myself and a friend arrived at 6pm. Ordered our food and waited and waited, so finally about 40 mins later the mains arrived, which was tasty in fairness. When the plates were cleared, we thought a dessert menu would be brought down or even asked would we like dessert, tea/coffee. So another 15 mins and finally caught the waiter, and asked for the menu. There were 6/8 desserts on the menu, but the waiter said they only had two on the menu and pointed to the ones they had. Again, another wait to catch the waiter to order dessert. My friend ordered tea, and I ordered one of the desserts that was pointed out initially, only to be told, they didn't have that one! I then said I'll just have a cappuccino (which was also listed on the menu), alas only to be told again they don't have cappuccinos, only tea and black coffee!!! Main course with one naan bread and a tea for one was 25euro. I definately won't be back. Very disappointing.

Akash Indian Restaurant 3.5 star review: Our visit here with a Menupages deal was overall a disappointment with problems initially in booking through Menupages website which didn't work. I then phoned, left a voicemail but never got a response, tried Menupages the day before which then worked. When we got there they had no record of the booking. The young man serving did his best but was on his own, and being unfamiliar with the Menupages deal and because the voucher did not have the details on it, we spent the time asking for what was included but ordered Peshwari Naan (2 of) which was NOT included and had to add €10.90 to the voucher. The food was very tasty, lamb starter with saute onions delicious and the Biryani and chicken in a yoghurt tomato sauce was great. There were a range of different sauces as well as beef on the menu - so not offering just the usual Indian fare.

Akash Indian Restaurant 4.0 star review: Found the restaurant easily enough, and there's free parking opposite after 7.

Beautiful, relaxed setting.

Starters weren't the best, but the mains were definitely delicious!

Authentic food.

Akash Indian Restaurant 5.0 star review: Akash is a restaurant our family use reqularly for take-away meals but we have only dined there once some years ago.
Recently my wife and I had the pleasure of a very enjoyable evening with a two course meal at Akash using a deal voucher. The menu choice was excellent and all 4 dishes (2 starters and 2 mains) we had were delicious. All items were reasonably priced and would have been good value even without the voucher.
The waiter was very knowledgable and attentative The dining room appears to have had a make-over and it was very pleasent with nice background music.
The only negatives were in relation to the drink - a limited wine choice and no beer. When asked about the lack of beer we were informed that there was some licence hick-up. However, the wine on offer was adequate, with snipes and a number of half bottle choices.
Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Akash Indian Restaurant 5.0 star review: It's a long time since I have eaten in Akash but we recently availed of one of the meal deal vouchers. It was so worth it! The food was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. On account of the voucher, the value was outstanding.

Akash Indian Restaurant 2.0 star review: I had liked this place in the past and went back with a friend. We ordered starters and mains, our starters arrived without a dip/sauce and when I asked about one I was told we could have the dip from our poppadums....My chicken in the main was inedible and I left it and when it was cleared away nothing was said. The meal was not cheap which added to the disapoinment. Will not be returning there.

Akash Indian Restaurant 4.0 star review: My self and my boyfriend ate here for the first time recently and were very impressed with the extensive menu and wonderful food. The restaurant itself is cosy to say the least, but as it was not too busy it was comfortable. The portions were generous and the time between each course allowed time for us to relax and enjoy our food rather then feeling hurried. All produce was fresh and tasty. We will definately return for another wonderfully valued authentic Indian meal.
