Having wished to dine somewhere else but finding it closed we decided to opt for Roly's. I had always been somewhat intrigued by this place and wanted to dine here due to the reputation it has. We took our seats at the tail end of the lunch menu. I decided on the goat's cheese tart and my boyfriend on the B.L.T. We shared a bottle of sauvignon blanc. While everything was really tasty I didn't think there was anything remarkable about it. Service was average. I would visit again if I was in the locality but would not go out of my way to get there in the first place.

.Nine of us went for lunch, a family reunion. Busy place and excellent service, three course set lunch with plenty of choice and good value wine. Everybody very happy with all the courses, my duck was excellent and the deserts were delectable. I had not been there for a while but will now change that. It must be one of the most consistant places in the country, rather like a well oiled machine that never breaks down.

I went to Roly's on a christmas work night out. it was really busy when we arrived our table was not ready as we were a little early and were advised to go to the neighbouring pub for a drink which we did but when we came back the table was still not ready and we were all crowded into the reception area waiting our table. However when we got the table it was perfect for our group it was an enclosed room all to our selves and it was the perfect size for the group. It had a large square table which we all sat around and it was great for a group. The food was tasty and I liked the choice on the menu. The service was very good. It is a little expensive I thought for the three courses and wine. Overall my visit to Roly's was very enjoyable.
