Roly’s Restaurant & Café, Ballsbridge has been one of the most popular Dublin restaurants since it opened in 1992. Roly's is located close to the American Embassy, Lansdowne Road & the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) with parking on Herbert Park Road and within walking distance of many leading hotels. Our newest addition is our cafe and bakery. This is ideal for breakfast, lunch and in the evening for a more casual dinner.

There to use a good value menupages voucher, but........
While the food was good, it wasn't impressive and indeed, not faultless!. What we didn't like was their efficiency - you were in and out in a flash and that detracted from the experience and atmosphere. Definitely wouldn't go again, no matter what value.

My Husband and I went to Roly's Bistro one day for lunch with a menupages deal and it was excellent value for money. I had the Prawn Bisque for starter which was lovely and my Husband had the Dublin Bay Prawn's which were delicious. I had the Confit of Duck and he had the Beef and Guinness Pie and both was very tasty indeed. Portions were great and they came with sides of vegetables and potatoes. We rounded things off nicely with the Raspberry Cheesecake and Strawberry Sundae. Excellent value for money and if any more menupages deals for Roly's come by we'll certainly indulge again.

Paid a recent visit to Roly's after securing an early reservation at 6.30pm to use our menupages voucher for a 4 course meal for two. We have been to Roly's on a number of occasions for Sunday lunch but this was our first time for dinner and we were just as pleased. There was a special menu but it had plenty choice including a crab starter and steak main. The starters were delicious as was my lamb pie main which was divine. The waiting staff were ultra attentive as there was only a few people in the restaurant at first but as it filled up the staff were stretched to cater for a very full restaurant. As my partner stated "there's no recession in Roly's". The sumptious desserts rounded off an excellent meal which was excellent value. The latest voucher for Roly's is probably a bit expensive for a return visit for dinner, but will definitely be back for Sunday lunch again or maybe an Early Bird.

We used our menupages voucher for a four course meal for two and were very impressed. The choice did not feel in any restrictive, given that this was a discounted meal The thai crab and chicken starter was delicious as was my steak main. The lamb pie was melt in the mouth with gorgeous desserts topping of a fab meal.It was very refreshing to see a wide selection of house wines on the wine list, all of which were very reasonable. We counted up to six different waiting staff looking after the table throughout the night , with the service being excellent. We will definitely go back.

The welcome at the door from restaurant manager was very friendly, & we were shown to our seats - we were offered a choice, & took a private booth.
I noted that the wine list was very well structured, with a number of wines listed at approx Eur25.50, & another group at Eur27.50, All very good wines. After that there were many more up to whatever you would like to spend. This is a touch of realism which is appreciated.
Starters were excellent, but arrived with undue haste after ordering I have to say, as did our mains. This was the only slight blemish (better this way than too slow), but please adhere to standard times. The main of Hereford Rib was perfectly cooked, & excellent portions, with 3 vegetables included.
Desert menu again arrived promptly as did the return to take our order, but we requested a break !
Overall a very enjoyable & relaxing evening - would highly recommend.

The service was excellent, I had a problem with a dessert, and the staff dealt with my complaint in a very professional and courteous manner, we were a party of 4 and we were very pleased with the experience and the food.
