I visited Oliviers for a birthday dinner a couple of months back. We didn't have a reservation but it was early evening so there was no problem getting a table. I had the scallops to start with followed by Stone bass. Both were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. There was a lovely amuse bouche and endless little extras. It was a true fine dining experience, the likes of which is rare in Dublin. The staff are very professional and helpful. I would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant.

Wow, this place was amazing! I'd highly recommend it. I visited Olivier's recently on a Tue night with my husband for dinner. Olivier's have a 3 course earlybird for €35 which is very tasty and great value! My husband went for the earlybird and had grilled aubergine starter, duck leg for main and chocolate fondant for dessert. I ordered off the a la carte menu and had pumpkin soup (€7.50) and beef fillet in pastry (€37) with a side of potato (€3.95). Can't rave enough about the food. All courses where divine! The beef was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. What I also really liked was the extras they gave you at the start and during the meal. At the start we were given a couple of pieces of bread (different types) and a savoury snack. Then before the starter arrived we were given a little plate with a variety of small tasters - a jar of foam, small lobster in batter, tomato drink, smoked salmon & Cheese bacon – yum!! Lots of different flavours and delic. Then between starter and main we were given a taste of Lobster with a kind of jelly! again, very tasty! The entire experience was amazing! It's also totally worth the money. Especially if you get the earlybird. Do yourself a favour and check it out.
