If it wasn't for the food we wouldn't be rushing back. Food is exceptional however the restaurant lacks atmosphere and design. The fact you had to walk up a flight of stairs to the cold toilets was off-putting, especially for an elderly customer. It was very open and seemed insecure due to the fact that one could walk from the main road up to an unmanned toilets. With good management behind it and a bit more character, I feel this restaurant would soar!

Dined here using a menupages voucher. I had scallops for starters which were cold and the taste was mediocre. Had lamb shank for mains which was hot and tasty. The wine list was good value. I noted that the valentine 'special' was €55 per head and the only extra you got for above the menupages voucher was a dessert and a glass of prosecco. I had paid €32 for 2 starters and 2 mains. It would have been rally poor value for €55 per head. On a positive the place itself was nice and the staff were pleasant.

Vouchers would not print and the deal would not be accepted only that I happened to have my smartphone with me on the night as evidence.

We have been in this place but it was Roast restaurant. Under new name it's even better. Very good quality foot. For staretrs we had prawns and goos qroquettes. Excellent. As man cources salmon and lamb shank. All perfectly presented. Nicely balanced dishes. Complements to the Chef.

We were there very early on a Tuesday evening so didn't expect an atmosphere. Service excellent, friendly and efficient. My husband chose wiser than I as his Hake mains and pate starter were the winners. My goat's cheese brulee missed the mark as it wasn't what I expected - too stiff and solid. Veggie burger was good though.
