Was here with a party of five others. We found everything to our entire satisfaction. We chose six different meals from the evening menu with both red and white house wines. For a Saturday night the restaurant was not overcrowded, which it surely would have been but for the fact the weather outside was glorious. We thoroughly recommend a visit.

Afraid it just didn't live up to our expectations!

Very enjoyable dinner for two including wine on our first visit. I had a very tasty risotto starter made with pearl barley; my wife really enjoyed her pan-seared scallops. We both had braised lamb shank which was 'melt-in-the-mouth' tender and had a wonderful flavour. The chocolate brownie was beautiful too: very light but with a deep chocolate taste. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to our next visit!

Nice atmosphere, very friendly service, salmon starter delicious, hake main very good. Steak burger which my partner had was fine but felt it was something you'd get as pub food. Otherwise nice evening!!

Excellent food. The restaurant was quiet but it was a Monday night! But would highly recommend food and service and the voucher is great value.

My husband thinks I'm being harsh by saying that I thought this restaurant was all window dressing - linen table clothes etc and truly lovely staff. They served an amuse-bouche which increased my expectations as it was yummy but everything after that was nothing to write home about unfortunately. It's reasonably priced but the menu is a little limited and the wine selection even more so. That aside there was something for everyone i.e. vegetarian, steak, burger etc. Everything was beautifully presented but the flavours were a bit of a let down e.g. I wasn't impressed by my fall of the bone lamb shank being drowned in a sea of soupy and not so tasty gravy. FYI: It's upstairs so not wheelchair accessible

If it wasn't for the food we wouldn't be rushing back. Food is exceptional however the restaurant lacks atmosphere and design. The fact you had to walk up a flight of stairs to the cold toilets was off-putting, especially for an elderly customer. It was very open and seemed insecure due to the fact that one could walk from the main road up to an unmanned toilets. With good management behind it and a bit more character, I feel this restaurant would soar!
