Bel Cibo is a modern, Italian pizzeria restaurant, located in the heart of cobbled Smithfield next door to the Lighthouse Cinema.

We have a great new outdoor seating area with capacity for 30 people.

Bel Cibo offers excellent value in traditional Italian food with an emphasis on casual eating in a stylish but informal setting -
its modern fixtures and fittings are offset against floor-to-ceiling photographic depictions of the area in days gone by.

Bel Cibo, Italian for “good food”, delivers on that promise with a specially selected menu of delicious handcrafted pizzas, fresh pastas, gourmet burgers, Steaks , fish and vegetarian dishes – for lunch, lazy weekend breakfast and informal evening dining. Using only the freshest of ingredients, all dishes are cooked to order by Bel Cibo’s team of chefs who have a passion for great food.

Bel Cibo also offers a carefully chosen wine list at very competitive prices.

AWARDS & PRIZES

Good Food Ireland is an industry driven food tourism organisation which was established in November 2006. Many good food operators in a cross-section of establishments all around the island from restaurants to accommodation, pubs to food shops to cookery schools wanted to be recognised and endorsed for their commitment to using Irish, local and artisan food produce. They wanted to share experiences and be cooperatively marketed to the domestic and international tourist. Agriculture and Tourism, two vital economies for Ireland have so much in common and are yet so far apart. Through Good Food Ireland the industry from both these sectors share a common belief and come together as one. Good Food Ireland brings you the visitor or domestic consumer what we believe is the only way to get a true taste of Ireland. The Awards are an opportunity to give something back to the Best of Dublin. Restaurants, bars and nightclubs all over Dublin compete for the highly regarded titles across a range of categories, as voted for by inDublin readers and the public.

Good value, good food and trendy decor. Attentive staff who happily tended to a group of 3 having a long dinner stay. I'm all for restaurants who aren't hurrying to turn over a table.

We visited Bel Cibo before a late movie showing in the LightHouse Cinema next door. We were running a bit late for our original booking of 8, but a quick call to the restaurant and I was advised that it was no problem at all, that our table was still reserved. We were seated as soon as we arrived and our order was taken promptly by a very friendly waitress. I had the soup of the day and the Pacherri Del Pastore, which was absolutely delicious. I actually couldn't finish it, but the waiter packed what I had left into a doggy bag, no problem. My boyfriend had the Cristini Misti, and the Calzone for his main. Both of these dishes were huge and extremely tasty! I had the apple tart for my dessert and my boyfriend the Death by Chocolate, which was utterly decadent! The waiting staff made sure we were happy with everything, and were very friendly and courteous. I will definitely return to Bel Cibo in the future. I've already recommended it to several people, and am really looking forward to our next visit!

Nice Italian food at very reasonable prices - early bird and pre-cinema deals are great value. Atmosphere is a little lacking but it's a great spot for a pizza/pasta before catching a movie in the Lighthouse. Service could have been a little faster as the place was nearly empty, but the server was friendly and overall experience good.

Not a romantic spot more of a casual cafe, would suit a group of kids for pizza party or light lunch/coffee. Generous portions

Enjoyed our first visit to Bel Cibo, staff were great, food was plentiful, nice venue, only drawback was the wine list which needs revamping, we will certainly visit again.

Our first visit to Bel Cibo and was pleasantly surprised. A limited menu but cover all the basics of an Italian Restaurant. We shared the large antipasti of cured meats cheeses and relish. Delicious! Our mains was a gourmet burger and pasta with spicy Italian sausage although I had to go looking for the sausage a little more please chef. Service was good. It was a warm evening so we ate outside and enjoyed the lively surroundings of Smithfield. We asked and got without any quibble a doggy bag to take our left over home. They offer lunch and early bird specials. Worth a visit.

We had a reservation for 3 people only to find that a table for 1 was set aside for us. My friend had to sit in the aisle always having to move when the staff passed by. And they had plenty of tables available. It took 20mins for our order to be taken and the service was generally pretty bad. The starter was nice and plentyful but the main (seafood pasta) was bland with overcooked pasta. Although I only live 2 mins away, I would not go back there.
