My wife, 2 year old and 3 week old and I dropped in for dinner on a quiet Tuesday evening in Skerries. I was initially impressed by layout and style decor of the place and we found ourselves a spacious area to sit. Then we were approached by a waitress that was very polite and apologetic to inform us that prams and buggies were not allowed on the premises. Our only option was to leave. Now they are obviously in a position to turn down business but they should beware that this nonsensical policy will hurt them. Considering the evening that it was and the restaurant practically empty they should apply some common sense to this policy. We won t return either way because there is plenty of quality restaurants that know never to turn customers on their heels.

Tried to attend this place on Sunday 18th Nov -
Asked could they cater for a family of 5, was informed yes - got all the kids out of the car, to be then informed - no - 1 hour wait!!! Rude staff
Bad service, very unpolite staff.
Have been here before and yes it is busy and food is good- but there are ways to treat / respect Valued Customers.
There are better places in Skerries to spend your valued money!

It was saturday evening off the bank holiday weekend, i was having a meal with the girlfriend. We have never been too Blue before. We decided to go because friend off ours said it was friendly and had a nice atmosphere. As we walked in the door i was asked for id by a doorman(fair haired) i looked at him said i was 27 then he asks were im from and i said Dublin he says what part. I was getting angry with all the questions. I answered him none off your business to he replies and i quote ìf i ask you a question you answer` and opens the door. My partner pushes me in because i was fuming with this guy. We walk in and thought it was a beautiful bar. A waitress walks over with smile and a menu so we sit down ordered had a couple drinks. Service was outstanding could not Fault the waitress and chef did a great job. As we were leaving the same guy on the door `smiles at and says remember what i said for next time` I really hope that Doorman gets a slap someday and if it was`nt for my girlfriend i would have. Was a wonderful night except for him.I will never go back and i will tell everybody i know about it. I hope either owner/manager/customers sees this.

Despite a 40 min wait for a table, during which time we enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar, my husband and I had a very enjoyable evening at Blue. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they seemed understaffed as there was a long wait for taking orders and it was difficult to get their attention when you wanted anything. In saying that the food was excellent and there was a great atmosphere. I agree it seems to be the place to go in Skerries - it looked like half the town was there!!!

Blue must be the place to be in Skerries. Arrive here after 5 on Friday and you'll probably have a long wait for a table. After quite a long innings, Blue's menu has been updated since my last visit (the Buffalo Wings are still there:-). The service has also improved (it was never bad). I still believe that Stoops (almost next door) can have better fish dishes but it's even harder to get a table there (and the chairs are aweful for those who don't have inbuilt upholstery).
Blue always has had a good wine list, if a little short (the Tussock Sav Blanc at 30euro is a guilty pleasure).
Blue has a lot going for it, great atmosphere, comfortable seating, nice wine list, good service and a new menu. If they can keep an eye on quality control, customer satisfaction and the competition, their future is assured.

Have been a regular customer since it opened its doors. The menu is fantastic as it has a large selection of tapas, mains, burgers, fish and great selection of sides but the Chicken Wings are a must have they are perfect! The portions are good and the staff are so friendly and efficient. The Interior is very impressive. What is also great about Blue is they regularly update their menu to add new and exciting dishes encouraging people to come back to see whats new. Great Cocktail menu too! The front terrace is completely heated and they supply blankets for those who wish to dine outdoors and take in the beautiful seaviews. 5 Stars.

I honestly don't know what the fuss is about this restaurant. I have eaten here over 5 times, food is ok but a little expensive and the service is fine if there is nobody there, otherwise expect a wait. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing meal I would suggest somewhere else.
