Believed to have been built in the 1700’s it is one of the oldest buildings in the village of Glasnevin. The Restaurant was opened in July 1996 and gets its name from the old washhouse, which was situated along the hill. The Restaurant has always prided itself on offering high quality products sourced locally and prepared by our chefs. The Washerwomans has established itself as a favourite for family occasions or Funerals / Christenings with personalised menus a private area that can seat up to 50 and special offers like kids eat free (a free kid’s main with every adult) and an excellent early bird that’s on seven nights a week. Our Staff promote the Just Ask Campaign from Bord Bia Now taking Bookings For Christmas

Very quaint and cosy restaurant. Have been here several times. Food delicious. I prefer being seated downstairs as its a bit more buzzy and has a lovely real fire. Upstairs is lovely also but a bit dark (can't read menu without my glasses)

I ate here for the first time Christams week with 5 friends. It is a gorgeous reaturant and i will definitely go again. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. There a lovely cosy feel to the place too. I look forward to going back!

We went back again with two of our family and had a fantastic meal with a voucher My son-in-law had the pork belly I had sea bass, my daughter had braised beef and my husband sirloin steak. Again we had no complaints every thing tasted great and there was plenty for everyone. I would recommend the pork belly which was marinated and put in filo pastry parcel tasted lovely. We had three courses and a bottle of wine and two coffees Just one thing we found it a bit cold beside the brick wall and changed places with each other which worked for us
