The Independent Pizza Company opened in the summer of 1984 and recently celebrated 25 years in business in Drumcondra. In 2002 we moved a few doors down the road to a bigger custom built location from where we now operate.

The Independent Pizza Company is a casual neighbourhood pizza restaurant where you can relax, chill out and enjoy yourself without feeling too worried about the size of the bill at the end! Our concept is to deliver top quality Pizza, at reasonable prices, in an unpretentious and casual setting. Our Pizza style is American – light crisp bases with traditional & contemporary topping combinations that suit all tastes.

Most of our menu and, of course, all of our signature pizzas, utilise our stone pizza oven which was imported for us from Washington State in the USA. These pizza ovens are regarded as the best in the world and we believe help us create outstanding pizza bases. Our pizza dough is freshly made every day, on the premises, using just five ingredients: flour, water, yeast and small amounts of salt and sugar.

All ingredients are bought in fresh & prepared in our kitchen unlike other competitors who import frozen ingredients.

We buy the best produce available and we have excellent relationships with our suppliers- some of whom we have been dealing with for 25 years. Our baked ham for pizzas is from Cork, our pepperoni is made in Dundalk, Hicks in Dun Laoghaire supply sausages and our chicken wings are from Kettle Foods in Fermanagh. All our vegetables are delivered daily from local suppliers and our Irish & European cheeses come from Glenealy Foods in Dublin.

We also provide a great take away service and pizza take & bake service where you can order your pizza par-cooked ready to finish off in your oven when required. We operate a 10% loyalty discount for take-away pizzas where the 10th pizza purchased on your loyalty card is free!

Independent Pizza Co 3.5 star review: The service was fast and efficient, the only improvement would have been a smile! The food was good - great pizzas, good choice of starters and other options, not just pizza. Would go here again if I was in the area. Very good value. Much better than take-away pizza and not much difference in the price! Family friendly, good place for a family lunch or dinner.

Independent Pizza Co 5.0 star review: Ate here for the first time last night. We were in a hurry and needed a quick bite to eat. The service was quick and friendly. The variety on the menu is excellent and the Value for money is a major high point. You would be lucky to get as nice a pizza from a take away pizza shop for the same prices as they offered here. I've been to alot of restaurants and in most places, you'd be paying at least €12 for a basic pizza.
Highly recommend!

Independent Pizza Co 4.5 star review: This is my favourite Pizza restaurant and has been for a long time now. The food is always spot on and I am never disappointed. Also, it is unbelievable value for money. Three of us ate here this time. We started with a glass of wine each. To each, we had bbq chicken wings and tomato bruschetta. Delicious. To follow, we had pizzas and lasagne. Couldn't fault the food at all. The majority of the staff are really friendly but we hit on a waitress in bad form and she scowled all night. Thankfully, by the time we finished and asked for the bill she had disappeared and another waitress took our payment so we left a decent tip. If she had been settling our bill I would have been tempted not to leave any tip at all!!

Independent Pizza Co 4.0 star review: Have visited here many times but this is my first review. My partner and I visited last night and despite it being very busy we got a table and the staff service and performance did not falter. Our orders arrived in good time and we were delighted with them. We skipped the started this time because the portions are quite good and I sometimes find myself struggling with three.

I had the thai chicken and found it to be a delicious new approach to the traditional pizza. My partner had the texas chicken pizza and although tasty, she found the ingredients to be too sparse.
We had the chocolate fudge cake and the cheesecake for dessert and both were absolutely delicious.

The bill came and we were delighted with the cost. We find that his place is great value for money and will be coming back very soon.

Independent Pizza Co 4.0 star review: For a couple of pizzas and a bit of a chat, this place is great. It just shows it doesnt always have to be fancy and swanky to be enjoyable. i was in on a Monday night and the place was full. Nice pizzas.

Independent Pizza Co 1.0 star review: I had been to this restaurant for a few years but was meeting a few friends and the location suited us both.. We shared a starter two of us sharted a pizza and one had a salad, the salad was covered in mayonnaise the pizza was luke warm and totally bland not good at all, the only saving grace was the wine a Marlborough SV which was really lovely. Will definately not be back totally forgetable.

Independent Pizza Co 5.0 star review: Eat here all the time and always mean to leave a review but have never got around to it until now.
Absolutely the best value for money here. The starters are great the pizza base lovely and crispy and the sauce is really tasty.Calzones are amazing and their salads are really tasty too. Desserts are lovely - especially the cheese cake and the apple crumble. The menu never changes - probably because they don't have to (if it ain't broke don't fix it!). All of the staff are really welcoming and friendly and the service is really quick and efficient. The atmosphere is always good and the place is practically always packed out. Will continue to return again and again! Keep it up guys

Independent Pizza Co 4.5 star review: First time here but I am a regular in Gotham the sister restaurant. The place has the same feel- friendly staff, relaxed vibe and Rolling Stone Covers on the walls and the big flaming pizza oven at the back. We went after an event in Croke Park to see if it was as good. We all had pizzas and all were excellent if a little different . They do great coleslaw and wedges which come with lovely sauces. What amazed me most was the price- its so cheap for great pizzas. And the cheesecake is exactly the same !

Independent Pizza Co 2.5 star review: We first began eating here in 1998 and continued to return regularly up until our last visit. The pizzas were always fantastic. At our last visit we knew it would be busy as there was a big event on at nearby Croke Park - so we deliberately booked our table 2 weeks before hand. It was for 6pm but were told the table would be needed back by 7.30pm - no problem with that. On the night the place was very busy as expected, and the food was fantastic as always. However, from 7pm any time our waitress walked past us she began to stare at her watch continuously for a few seconds and then look over at us! This happened at least 6 or 7 times in the space of 5 minutes! We ignored it at first as we knew we had the table til 7.30, but soon we became quite embarrassed and uncomfortable as the behaviour continued. We paid our bill and left at 7.20, quite annoyed and shocked with the treatment we received. Question:- What is more important when running a restaurant - to maximise profits on an exceptionally busy night, or that regular customers keep coming back? Whatever the answer is, these regulars won't be back.
