As usual the food was absolutely gorgeous! We were pleasantly surprised at the prices. The staff are really professional and friendly especially the waitress that served us - Joanna. She's a credit to the place! Will definitely be back.

Ate here yesterday with my boyfriend & really enjoyed myself. I got the chicken/chorizo pasta & my boyfriend got the joint of the day and both were delicious with big portions. I never realised how big the beer garden out the back is so it was lovely heading up to the walkway and sunny ourselves.

Just visited for an early bird this evening and was really impressed with the selection, quality and service. Atmosphere was a bit quiet but that suited us well. Will certainly come back again!

Best casual dining in Dublin - we had a great meal in this restaurant which is located near the Phoenix Park city entrance. The super friendly staff and lovely old atmosphere make this an enjoyable experience. Wide choice of foods on the menu and our group all enjoyed the fresh tasty dishes. The servers were on the ball .. Will defo be back soon.

We went there after a day at the zoo . The menu choice is excellent and I particularly recommend the cheese board . I had a burger for my main which was to die for and my wife had the daily roast of turkey and ham . The service was prompt and efficient with nice degree of friendliness . They have an amazing selection of drinks here with the Guinness being spot on . Next time we are in the area we'll defiantly call in .

after reading some reviews had higher expectations, unfortunately i was wrong. I have to admit that staff was nice but cannot say it about the food. The meal was cold and the meat served had a funny taste and smell, definitely it wasnt fresh. Spoke to the manager, got other meal. at the end was charged for two dinners. Magic word "sorry" was never said. would not recommend the place to anybody. Unless you are huge fan of old meat :)

I had low expectations for some reason and thought it would be just bar food. I was really pleasantly suprised. The food was delicious and myself and my friend said we would definitely be back. We didnt bother with a starter, went straight for the mains of lamb and duck, with several sides of veg+spuds. There was a piano player there throughout the whole meal which created an ambiance as otherwise it did feel we were upstairs in the pub. Service was very efficient even if it was quiet that night. To our citydeal voucher, we added our bottle of wine, a dessert and a coffee and felt that it was a bargain of a night out. Really good quality food.

went alone one friday evening. very nice staff. food was good. had salmon and crab claw starter. it was very good. a good steak after. i ordered it medium rare but it came cooked thro. it was still ok so i ate it. i told the waiter and he apologised, insisted to take it away, but as i had eaten half of it i said no. he gave me a large glass of wine for free. there was live piano music too. i would go back. the carvery menu which i think is served downstairs looks good value at 11 euro

Went here with four others and went for the two course option for €24.95 which includes a steak option. Everybody really enjoyed the food. Portions were generous and service was very efficient. It was one of the girls birthday and I was allowed to bring my own cake which was duly plated and presented and our waitress even went to the bother of getting some candles. Would definitely go back.

Ate lunch here recently. excellent selection and very good value. the food was very good, good quality and well put together. i had sandwich and soup - delicious, filling and good value. atmosphere is good, buzzing little spot for lunch, could be brighter and less, "pub" like for lunch time, but understand in older pubs, this isnt always possible. staff and service were friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this to friends.

Good pub grub, friendly and fast. Good spot for lunch - doesn't get too busy. Very nice inside. Kind of place you'd like to spend a wet afternoon on the high bar stood. Very athmospheric. If we're going out for lunch locally, this is where we head. Do some nice meal deals at lunch time. Hope it doesn't start getting too packed with the new courts complex open!

Good value option for pub food if you are in the area. The fish and chips is generally good. A good place to line the stomach before a few beers after work.
