Yamamori Izakaya is situated on the trendy Georges street in Dublin 2, in what was originally Ireland’s very first cafe. This restaurant serves the tastiest Japanese food in Dublin in Japas style (Japanese tapas). Downstairs there is a Japanese style drinking house and Yamamori Izakaya is famously known for their delicious cocktails as well as excellent whiskey! The japas style of food makes Yamamori Izakaya perfect for large parties or intimate dinners and their wide and varied menu ensures there will be something to suit every diner’s taste. There was a big group of us (10) catching up. It was a great venue, we were there for about 6 hours. We all had a great meal and caught up over drinks the rest of the evening. Highly recommend for food, decor, service and staff.

We just went without any plans. Very disappointed. Not a good value for price you pay for the food. We had to ask twice for a glass of water. It wasn't really busy though. Never again.

The food was delicious, and the portions were just right. However the service was a little slow and the attitude of the manager from being greeted at the door onwards was appalling, which left us feeling that we wouldn't be back.

This place was buzzing on Saturday night. George's Street has really improved. We had a plate of Dim Sum and two bento boxes of sushi between 3 of us. Every morsel was eaten greedily. Excellent meal. One word of warning: we thought we had booked the place across the road because that's where the map directed us to. This place is where Bewleys used to be.

Always the same consistent high standard of food, service and atmosphere. Has been great value too while the going was tough these last few years. Fair play to them!

This was my second visit to this restaurant and for good reason. Both times I've had a very good meal. Great way of enjoying a bit of everything Japanese with very tasty small dishes. Have been going to Yamamori main restaurant for years and love it too but think Izakaya will be my first preference in future. They do awesome cocktails here too might I add!!

Enjoyed almost all of the dishes from the Japas menu by now and they are so tasty. Particularly recommend the beetroot and lychee salad dish and the venison dish - both of which were unforgettable. Great atmosphere. If just one or two of you, the marble bar is a great place to sit.

Great atmosphere in Yamamori Izakaya. Started downstairs the bar and ordered a Wacky Wacky recommended by the friendly head waitress. Tried their 5 Japana's for €35, tucked into a booth surrounded by an interesting Japanese interior. Lovely music and the service was spot on. A delicious evening was had by us all. It was also nice to find a new bar, that nobody knows about in the heart of Dublin.

We absolutely love this restaurant. Great atmosphere, food and service. We are never disappointed here! There is only one thing, wines and cocktails are a bit expensive. The staff is absolutely fantastic, very enthusiastic and friendly. Highly recommended!
