The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 4.5 star review: Superb!
Had a fantastic meal here last Friday night. It is a place we used to visit fairly regularly and always enjoyed, but somehow I hadn't been here for at least a year or two. However, that won't be happening again, as it is as good dining as there is in Dublin.
Everything was cooked to perfection, particularly our main courses of lamb and veal. The starters were small and nicely portioned which left enough room for the big main courses. All this was rounded off by the most amazing tasting mango mousse.
To balance the review though, there was one small downside. While the atmosphere was pretty good when we arrived, the place really cleared out a bit later. Presumably this is because they do a good trade on the great value early bird. We ate from the a la carte which was worth every cent, but it does add up...

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 4.5 star review: My wife and I dined on the menupages deal on a Friday night. I've been here before and it was generally quiet but this time the place was full and had a great atmosphere. My other half got the fish platter and I was very jealous as it was huge and had lots of variety (she graciously shared some of it with me). I had the steak which was excellent. The deserts were absolutely lovely and a very nice end to a great meal. Service, food and atmosphere were superb, I will definitely return.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 5.0 star review: Ate there on a Thursday evening, atmosphere was very good - quiet and comfy. Had the scallops for starter - nicely done. Desserts were great, good plating techniques, highly recommended. Service was also excellent. The only thing we did not like was the soft drink - a very flat galss of coke, wish they served a can/bottle of coke.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 4.0 star review: I ate here on a Friday evening with a friend. The ambiance is quite nice and the dining area is very comfortable. They have a nice selection of fresh fish to choose from everyday and some good vegetarian options for my friend. The service was a bit slow, but some might call that unintrusive. Only negative point was between us we ordered 2 glasses of wine, yet somehow a 25 euro bottle showed up on our bill. The matter was rectified after informing the manager.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 4.5 star review: Myself and my wife availed of a menupages deal to eat here on Saturday night. The staff were friendly and the service very good. I went for the crab cakes to start whih were good but would recommend the fish plate starter which was excellent in particular the buttered prawns. We both had steaks for main course which were done perfectly and tasted great. Deserts and wine also did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 5.0 star review: Returned here to see if the first visit was as good as memory served. It was. Along with 2 very fussy friends, we availed of the Early Doors menu - €18 for 2 courses and €22 for 3 courses. Had the crab cakes to start - which consisted of mainly crab as opposed to potato, then hake fillet and white asparagus on a bed of garlic risotto, with chocolate brownies for dessert. All 3 dishes were superb, full of flavour and beautifully presented. My 2 friends were really impressed and we would definitely recommend the Exchange. Food of this quality at those prices is just amazing, On Weds you can bring your own wine and no corkage charged!!!! Service excellent, especially from the Welsh waiter who could not have been more helpful or pleasant. Staff like this should be valued - they make such a difference to the whole dining experience.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 4.0 star review: A friend and i decided to pop in for a quick bite hearing the food was good. We decided to share a bowl of mussels soaked in a lovely white wine and garlic sauce with fries on the side. overall the food was quite nice and the service was great. We opted for a sauvignon blanc which went well with our food. Good experience overall.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 4.0 star review: Went here with a menu pages voucher so we had a bit of a blow out. The food and service was great, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed but with a classy feel to it. I got baked camembert to start and my boyfriend had a seafood platter, both of which were generous in size. I got the halibut for main course which was very tasty and my boyfriend was very happy with his venison. There was plenty of choice on the menu. Overall I had an enjoyable evening of good food and nice wine and would return.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 2.5 star review: I came here with my boyfriend just before Christmas. There was a special seasonal menu, 2 courses for 35e and 3 courses for 39e. I had a menupages voucher for a bottle of house wine. We had two courses each and shared a dessert. I had scallops to start...... tasty and well cooked but very small!!!! My boyfriend had duck pate which was also nice. Unfortunately the mains were not up to scratch, i had the halibut and he had the lamb. The lamb was extremely fatty and inedible. The halibut was also well cooked but served on a chorizo and bean mix..... not very appetizing. We shared a chocolate mint cake which was not great either and, believe it or not we were both still a little peckish after such small portions! Such bad value for money.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar 5.0 star review: The restaurant is very nice, spacious and tables are big and well separated. Food menu is not too large but the options are appetising. When the food was brought to us we were very impressed with the presentation, the flavours and portion size. I could not go for desert I was so full with a starter and a main course. The waiters were excellent and not too intrusive. My only complaint was the price for an expreso coffee 3.70 for literally 5 drops of coffee.
