Salamanca is a long term favourite of mine, especially for a casual night out or with a group of people. I brought a work colleague here for a quick bite to eat after work. When we arrived at 6.30, the restaurant was quite quiet, but soon got a little bit busier. We opted for the 4 tapas for €17.50 menu, which is exceptional value and had a great choice associated with it. We also had a bottle of Chenin Blanc. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient as well as very polite. Our food came exceptionally quickly, maybe because the restaurant was so quiet. The food was great, as always, but I noticed it got cold really quickly. It wasn't hot to start off with, which is unusual, but I really noticed how it cooled quite quickly. So, overall, slightly disappointed, but on the plus side, this was unusual for Salamanca, which is consistently good, great value and good service. And I will go back again...

Had the lunch offer on Saturday - 2 courses for E12. Food was lovely, nice portion size and tasty. Carafe of wine for E12 is very good value! I'll be back again.

This was my fourth visit to Salamanca and it has become a firm favourite. The price for the set lunch is incredible....12 euro; you just can't go wrong. Today 3 of us visited and all of the dishes we sampled were fresh and delicious. One of us had a smoked salmon and russian salad starter which was really tasty and 2 of us had caprese....mozzarrela, basil and tomatoes...small portions but for the price no complaints at all. Main courses were even nicer....2 cod and chips...the cod comes in a little steel fryer which makes the dish really attractive looking and the third person had chicken and she said it was lovely and moist and tasty. We shared a bottle of Savignon Blanc and a dessert of profiteroles and chocolate sauce. With one Americano the total bill....between 3 remember, came to 63 euro. The service was friendly and unobtrusive and we sat for about 3 hours. Excellent!!
