Pasta Fresca 0.0.0 star review: What a dreadful experience we had in this awful restaurant, food bland no taste, found it nearly impossible to get any waiters attention, manager extremely rude obviously couldn't care less about the customer; only way these crowd make any money is by the poor unassuming passer-by having the complete unfortunate luck to grace their doors, worst dining experience in a very long time. Will definitely never return and advise the public to avoid like the plague!!!!!

Pasta Fresca 0.5 star review: We visited Pasta Fresca yesterday evening as a family but won't be going back. The meal started reasonably well with a bowl of Spicy Wings. These were a special and tasted good, although we had to share them since, at E9.99, they were pretty pricy.

However, the mains were very disappointing. Child number one had Pizza which was OK, if a bit soggy. Mum's mushroom pasta dish tasted OK but was a bit small and looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. Dad's ravioli was again a smallish portion, poorly presented and the filling was hard to find! However, child number twos meal was appalling.

She's a very fussy eater so we ordered plain pasta and chicken breast for her. The chicken was well cooked but the pasta was a joke. The least you expect in an Italian restaurant is fresh, well cooked, pasta. Instead she got over cooked, sloppy, mushy, almost inedible pasta. And for this mess we were charged almost 17 euro!! What a rip off.

To make matters worse, the waiter couldn't have cared less when we pointed out to him we didn't think much of the pasta. But then he's obviously worried by the world shortage of parmesan, if the meagre amount he grated onto Mum and Dads plates is anything to go by.

When it was time to leave, we passed three staff as we went to the door. Not one could be bothered wishing us good evening or thanking us for our custom. That says it all really.

Avoid this place. The only priority seems to be get you in, feed you as little as possible for as much money as possible and get you out. Terrible.

Pasta Fresca 2.5 star review: I went to this restaurant with what promised to be a wonderful evening. But when I received the wrong order and the waiter insisted that it was I who was at fault, things soon went downhill. Not only did I eat a pizza I didn't order, the waiter gave the impression of being there because he had to. The food was reasonably priced, and it wasn't bad either but it ruined the evening. I made a complaint, and after resubmitting it I eventually got a call from the manager who was very apologetic but I was told to go in and make my presence known the next time and get the pizza I wanted for free. This was not a satisfactory outcome. I won't be returning.

Pasta Fresca 2.5 star review: We went to this restaurant hoping to entertain a friend as she expressed a wish to go to a nice a Italian restaurant. however, we were bitterly disappointed with the food which was served lukewarm on cold plates. the indoor temperature was cold and this made our ambience uncomfortable. we had an encounter with the floor manager who was very dismissive and did not take on board our realistic complaints. the bottle of red wine wa seved 'cold'. he did not take on board our complaints and displayed an inappropriate arrongance and was not prepared to entertain our concerns at any level. we are regular diners and know what service and quality to expect. however, we do not expect to encounter a curt and defensive floor manager. we would certainly not be returning to this restaurant and we would not recommend this restaurant to our friends.

Pasta Fresca 1.0 star review: I visited that HIGHLY quoted italian restaurant in the heart of Dublin and I have been HIGHLY disapointed. The atmosphere was unexistant as the music was making me and my friend fall asleep, the waiter and his service was terrible, the food was very blend and definitly nothing near to proper italian food and the place is very pricy for such poor quality...At the end of my meal I fell sorry that I invited my friend in that place...I will never return. The worst experience ever spent in Dublin restaurant.

Pasta Fresca 5.0 star review: I eat out around Dublin regularly and I have to say, this place is my new favourite.

It's a fairly unassuming sort of place and you might miss it given that it's surrounded by three other restaurants. Make sure you don't - because it's Pasta Fresca is a real find.

The staff were really on the ball and our server was stunningly good at his job. Super friendly, just a really nice guy. I have tended to avoid Italian food when eating out quite a bit of late, it can get a bit same-same. But this place is different. The food is authentic and as such, is beautifully varied. I had a meatball terrine that was just sensational. You wouldn't expect much from that type of dish, but it was just remarkably tasty. After working my way through three courses I was tempted to go back and start over. Wine was great, and prices were very reasonable. The staff even gave us a free take-away coffee for the cold walk home. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Should be top of your list.

Pasta Fresca 5.0 star review: I am a regular at this epic establishment, and I have to say its freshly prepared Italian cuisine is unrivaled in the city of Dublin, maybe even Ireland. Brilliant service, delicious food and an all round enjoyable, atmospheric experience is guaranteed. The chocolate pizza is a revelation. I highly recommend dropping into Pasta Fresca at any time to taste a bit of Italy and enjoy a fun filled, helpful dining experience

Pasta Fresca 4.5 star review: I am not a lover of Italian as Im wheat free, however this place might convert me. There was wheat free pasta available and the nicest tomato sauce I have had. I was delicious. I was there by accident on a Tuesday and was able to get BOGOF on the pasta which was even better. The décor was fun and the atmosphere relaxed. The service was good. Would recommend.

Pasta Fresca 1.5 star review: Overall a negative experience and can safely say we will avoid returning to this place in the future.

Our main problem with this place was the staff,

Within two minutes of been seated a waiter was over to ask if we were ready to order and was not at all impressed that we were not, barely even glanced at the menu at that stage and was back a minute later to ask again

When taking our order the waiter seemed to me to throw his eyes up to heaven when we dared to ask for a substitution on one of the pizzas we ordered (surely not a big ask)

When paying the bill, my partner choose not to leave a tip via his laser card (prefer to leave a tip in cash), the waiter asked my partner TWICE was he sure that he did not wish to leave a tip, we both found this extremely unprofessional. We did not leave a tip in the end.

The above was not limited to one member of staff but a different waiter each time.

The pizzas while generous in portion were average and in our view too expensive.

The only positive is its proximity to grafton street but there are 3 other Italian restaurants close by so will be trying those in the future.

Thanks for your feedback. We have investigated your comments and would like to clarify a few facts. Our waiter initially was trying to take a drink order, not your food order. We apologize if you had a different impression. With regards to substitution, we assure you that our staff is extremely professional (thus, would not "roll their eyes", as it's part of their job to process any reasonable order from a customer). All staff is involved with delivering drinks and food, so it's possible you have been approached by different members of staff. At payment time, the host was asking if you would have preferred to include a tip on the card (asking for a yes or no question). We believe it was misunderstood and, again, we apologize if you heard differently. Best regards, the management.
