I ate lunch here recently . paid 10eur for a main that was tiny. although the food was tasty I was still hungry and would not be returning as I do not think this was good value for money.

In Dublin, if you think of Malaysian cuisine, Langkawi is the go-to place if you don't mind to pay over-priced meal. The staff services and taste of the food are great, we enjoyed the dishes very much, but when we saw the bill for 1 starter, 3 main courses and 1 early bird 2 course menu for 110 euro, I don't think it's good for value, especially they all come in extremely small portions.

I ate in here with a large group on a work night out. We had, had a few drinks before entering so everyone was in fine spirits when we arrived. The atmosphere on arrival was very nice atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. Food was very tasty and as some one who likes spicy food it was right up my street. Service was very good and with a large group keeping everyone's drinks topped up was important, which they did. I would definitely return for both food and service..

Had dinner with a couple of girlfriends last weekend. We were on the early bird menu which is fantastic value given the quality of the food. We tried each of the starters & the flavours were superb -spicy lamb balls were to die for. We shared mains too, very generous portions and would recommend the lamb rendang and nasi goreng was delicious. We would all highly recommend this little gem. Early bird menu is great value at €20 ish for two courses. Yum.

My family and I visited Dublin recently. We were lucky that I have an old classmate (Alexander Hosea) who owns and operates Langkawi Restaurant in Dublin. Alex is actually the main chef of Langkawi. Everywhere we went I must have authentic Malaysian/Chinese food. We went to Langkawi and I asked Alex to cook for us spicy curry dishes with different meat and gave him the discretion to select the dishes he would cook for us. The dishes he served us did not disappoint, they were really authentic Malaysian curry dishes he learnt from his mother in Malaysia. Alex also gave us some special desert which he created with Malaysian ingredients and they were great. The staff were polite and friendly and service was perfect. I dislike eating at restaurants which claim to be serving dishes/food from a particular country but the dishes/food they serve are cooked to suit the local taste buds and they taste horrible. These restaurants should call themselves "localised" (name of country) restaurant or "fusion/fused" (name of country) restaurant so that those who do not know how food from a particular country should taste like will not be misled.

After seeing some people say they had bad service and food here. I just had to comment, Langkawi is the closest I have ever come to stay strip in Singapore or to the street vendors in Kuala Lumpa to original Malaysian food, the staff are amazing and actually know the menu unlike many places I have been to where they have to ask the chief, hats off 100% to this place, staff, food and experience is fantastic !!!!

The restaurant was quiet when we got there around 6pm, so we got a seat by the window. The service was excellent the staff very friendly. We had been at a match in Croke Park so there were asking results etc. We had starters and mains, all of which were very tasty and nice size portions. Would definitely recommend.

We adore the food here....unfortunately were sat next to two men whose conversation we could overhear and really didn't want to. Will ask for a booth the next time. Every dish was delicious. Wine was lovely too.will keep going back

Was in for lunchtime, and had the lunchtime special. It was a chicken noodle soup dish and it was tasty, but I felt it was overpriced, considering the ingredients were mostly regular ingredients, not exotic and the portions were very conservative. I work in the area and would love a good value asian restaurant in the area.

I was there with friends for dinner on a mid-week. We had rendang beef, curry lamb, fried noodle, etc. The food was excellent and authentic. Enjoy it a lot. However it was very pricey. I love to go back again but the price put me off.

Been meaning to write this review for some time, and after my most recent visit, I couldn’t delay any longer. Langkawi on Baggot Street is my favourite Asian restaurant in the city. Natural ingredients, wholly authentic Malaysian dishes, excellent beer/wine and a wonderful staff and atmosphere…there is nothing I can fault. When in last, we ate from the Summer Special Menu and were again delighted with the quality to be had at such excellent value. This time out I had the Devil Chicken, and I was literally licking my fingers and the plate until there was nothing left. The Rendang Daging is another of my favourites, and this is a sentiment of every person I’ve ever brought in. The staff are always fantastic. Attentive but not overbearing, accommodating and helpful, they operate as an excellent team. The décor is again authentic Malay, comfortable and not at all over-crowded for the size of the restaurant. I cannot recommend Langkawi highly enough or to enough people. GO THERE.

I had a great dining experience while visiting the Langkawi restaurant in Baggot Street. Having visited Malaysia and south-east Asia in the past, I was looking forward to something authentic in Dublin. Was I prepard for an outstanding meal? Let's just say I was so impressed with the dining experience, we immediately booked the restaurant for the following week! My favourite dish was the John Dory fish served in a banana leaf, while I also sampled the Gulai chicken and the delicious Sambal prawns. My friends had the menu explained to them by a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Roll on next week!!!!!!!!!
