4.5 Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street) 4.5 star review:
This is a place I frequent quite a lot. The food is already well priced but with a student discount of 2 for 1, this makes this place almost too good to turn down. The food has a nice variety between meat and vegetarian burgers. Their homemade chips are a wonderful addition if you're feeling particularly peckish though I find their burgers are more than enough on many occasions. To be picky, I would say their layout is a little cramped but would not bother the majority. This is a favourite to many I know so recommended with confidence.

Ate here with a group, including a child, after the Heineken Cup final...
The staff are very attentive, and explain everything fully before you look at the menu... it is good to feel attended to when you are eating out!
The food was beautiful - love the chunky chips, and the price is very good for what you're getting.
Highly recommend and will come back here without doubt.

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat before the Gaiety. There was a special offer burger, chips and drink for €9.99 which was great value. The burger included in the offer was a plain classic and we had to pay extra for cheese, but it was worth it! Nice tasty meat and gorgeous handcut chips. Service was good and speedy! We enjoyed it but didn't linger as we we're in a rush!

I would estimate that I eat in GBK on South Anne Street at least 3 to 4 times per month. It is, without question, the best burger joint in Dublin. Aside from seriously delicious, perfectly cooked burgers, the staff are brilliant. Always attentive, remember regular customers, and happy to go out of their way to accommodate any special requests.
If you're looking for a burger then there is only one place to go!

Called in with friend for dinner on a busy evening, place was pretty full. The staff were not the friendliest really and a tad snappy in manner. The food was as we expected, lovely burgers as usual. Not the kind of place you could sit and chat really as we felt like as soon as we put our coffees down they wanted us to go. Good place for quick bite to eat, reliable.

The sister ("Big T") and I were looking for something quick to eat while en route to the George Michael gig. I suggested Gourmet Burger, having been pleased with the food the last time I was there (about 18 months ago). Around 5.30 on Tuesday evening the place was pretty busy and we were probably the oldest there! We stood at the "wait to be seated" sign while the waiter stood at the counter going through some papers. Instead of coming over to us, he beckoned us in from where he was standing. I wasn't impressed but he was very pleasant once he had guided us to a table. There is a good selection of burgers and you can choose different sizes, which are priced accordingly. You can also opt to have salad instead of a bun with your burger. Big T had a glass of the house red and I had a glass of rose while waiting for our orders, which took more time than they should have to arrive (customers at our neighbouring tables ordered after us but got their meals before us). I enjoyed my blue cheese burger; it was well done (which I prefer) but no one asked us how we wanted our burgers. Big T was very impressed with her classic burger and the side order of chips were pretty good. The two meals and drinks came to about Eu44. The food was good, but there weren't enough waiting staff. The toilets and wash facilities are tiny and could have done with an inspection.

Quick bite to eat here before heading out for Arthurs Day. It was pretty quiet considering it was Thursday evening.
Waitress was attentive, pleasant and food served quickly though drinks were a bit slow coming to table.
Had the cajun burger (big one) and yummy chinky chips. LOVE the chips! Burger was delicious, maybe a bit too much sauce, but really tasty if just a bit big for my appetite on the night.
Good value for decent burger.

Eat under €10! I had a Jamacan burger with giner & mango salsa, it was the best burger I ever had! I think it costed me €6, with no sides. But you can add salad. Contemporary decor and clean looking. It was very busy so service was only okay. The only thing to mention is it probably is not a good place to bring your first date as it is soooo messy to eat the burgers all the sauces came out but it was soooo good!

Went here with afew work friends for lunch. We were shown to our seats eventually. After about sitting there for 10minutes I asked the manager if it was possible to have some menue's!! thought the lunch deal was good value-€10 for a classic burger chips and a drink. Didnt think much of their souces, not very nice at all, I had the blue cheese and it was horrible. the burger was basic, the chunky chips ok. But the staff were just so bad at there job it really anoyed me and took away from entire experience and compeled me to view the food in a bad light also. we were all late going back to work because of their incompentencies, Dont think I will be heading back any time soon. Poor show!

We ate at GBK yesterday and were lucky enough to get a nice seat in the sunshine. I orderd a Chicken burger - the bun with avocado and bacon, the salad and homeslaw were lovely however the bacon had so much grizzle I was unable to eat it. The beer was very tasty and we found that overall it was good value for money, however we thought one particular member of staff was very rude to us and the tourists beside us. We both felt that the staff came across unfriendly and could do with more training in customer service.
