Gotham Cafe, City Centre South

Gotham Café is a casual eatery serving good food in a laid back environment, starting with a light breakfast menu in mid-morning and carrying right through until late night with an extensive and varied menu. Our concept is to deliver top quality food, at reasonable prices, in an unpretentious and casual setting. Gotham Café is a neighbourhood restaurant where you can relax, chill out and enjoy yourself without feeling too worried about the size of the bill at the end! It can fulfill many needs, being suitable for a quick meal if you are on your way to the cinema or theatre, to a full three course menu with coffee when you are in the mood for a little more. Much of our menu and, of course, all of our signature pizzas, utilise our stone pizza oven which was imported for us from Washington State in the USA. These pizza ovens are regarded as the best in the world and we believe help us create outstanding pizza bases. Our pizza dough is freshly made every day, on the premises, using just five ingredients: flour, water, yeast and small amounts of salt and sugar. Gotham Restaurant Group recently took part in the first ever Irish heat of the Global Pizza Challenge and won the Gold Medal. So now we are officially Ireland's Best Pizza as voted by the Panel of Chefs of Ireland. We will represent Ireland at the European Finals to be held in the UK in April - if we win that it's on to New Zealand in the Autumn. Gotham Restaurant Group consists of Gotham Cafe, Gotham South in Stillorgan & The Independent Pizza Company in Drumcondra

I used to be a regular to Gotham but had a few bad meals and have gone back in ages, anyway decided to give it another try, stuck to the pizza which is always good and it was lovely and the house wine is really nice and terrific value... will be back again

Hadn't been to this place in a few years. The menu doesn't seem to have changed much since my last visit. Got the early bird which actually had a fantastic variety to choose from. My friend had the soup to start, and loved it. I had an antipasta platter which was tasty. We bother ordered pizza for our mains which were quite nice. It was bustling and we did have to wait for a table, but only 5 minutes. The service was very prompt and I could not fault them. Definitely a great place to go if on a budget.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon with my 8yr old (who's a fussy eater). I ordered him a pizza off the main menu as it was the same price as the kids menu (I just paid extra for ice cream after). The kids ice cream is in the shape of a clown which makes a change from boring scoops! I also had a pizza which was divine! The staff were overall friendly and attentive apart from one waiter who was more interested in the 2 girls opposite us and ignored me twice when I tried to catch his attention. All in all a positive experience and I would eat here again
