Gotham Café is a casual eatery serving good food in a laid back environment, starting with a light breakfast menu in mid-morning and carrying right through until late night with an extensive and varied menu.
Our concept is to deliver top quality food, at reasonable prices, in an unpretentious and casual setting. Gotham Café is a neighbourhood restaurant where you can relax, chill out and enjoy yourself without feeling too worried about the size of the bill at the end!

It can fulfill many needs, being suitable for a quick meal if you are on your way to the cinema or theatre, to a full three course menu with coffee when you are in the mood for a little more.

Much of our menu and, of course, all of our signature pizzas, utilise our stone pizza oven which was imported for us from Washington State in the USA. These pizza ovens are regarded as the best in the world and we believe help us create outstanding pizza bases. Our pizza dough is freshly made every day, on the premises, using just five ingredients: flour, water, yeast and small amounts of salt and sugar.

Gotham Restaurant Group recently took part in the first ever Irish heat of the Global Pizza Challenge and won the Gold Medal.
So now we are officially Ireland's Best Pizza as voted by the Panel of Chefs of Ireland.
We will represent Ireland at the European Finals to be held in the UK in April - if we win that it's on to New Zealand in the Autumn.
Gotham Restaurant Group consists of Gotham Cafe, Gotham South in Stillorgan & The Independent Pizza Company in Drumcondra

Gotham Cafe 4.0 star review: Great spot for pizza in the city centre. We frequent it for a quick bite and if they don't have a table right away they will suggest you go next door to Kehoes for a pint (which is normally were are heading for anyway). Friendly and efficient service.

Gotham Cafe 4.0 star review: This place is worth a visit for their Brunch menu alone. I went in here one Sunday, a bit delicate after the night before and had the Huevos Rancheros, which were just delish! Fried eggs on tortilla with salsa guacamole & sour cream & cheese. Yum yum! Had me right as rain in no time! the staff are nice but seem very rushed off their feet and the place is always packed which is no bad sign in my book! I have had pizza here before for lunch and its great. The decor is great with walls covered in Rolling Stone magazine covers. Defo worth a visit, especially for brunch!

Gotham Cafe 4.5 star review: Had a fantastic meal on a thursday evening. The service was great, the house pinot noir good quality, portion sizes excellent, atmosphere good and top quality food (I had a kind of herb saussage served on a bed of spiced mash) and and interesting selection. All reasonably priced.

Gotham Cafe 2.5 star review: Bad first inmpression for this place - we turned up 5 minutes late (our fault, I know but our Dart was delayed) and they gave away our table. We had been waiting at the door with one group on front of us and that is who they gave our table to! They had my number so could have given me a call before giving away our table.

After hanging around for a bit we were squashed into a pretty small table, right on top of some poor couple trying to have a romantic meal. The service continued to be poor, with difficulty getting waiter's attention, forgotten sides and repeated requests for water.

The food was quite good when it arrived. The mini calzones for starter were a nice idea, but the oriental chicken wings lacked flavour. I had a main of chicken wth sweet potato that was really very good, but tried some of my friends pizza and thought it was nice, but not amazing.

Overpriced for the food we got, especially considering the really poor service. In future I'll go a couple of doors up the road to experience a warm welcome instead!

Gotham Cafe 2.5 star review: Ate here for the latest time last Wednesday. Not a place I'd pick but it was suggested. Had the chili prawns, and while I like a bit of spice, they were pretty hot to handle. The portion was quite large though, and it was tasty overall. Personally I feel the pizzas have gone downhill over the years. Service wasn't great tbh, and the place was very full. Not rushing back, but wouldn't push people away either.

Gotham Cafe 4.0 star review: I have eaten here a few times in the last couple of months. The pizzas are excellant and the staff always attentive. I would recommending avoiding the seats at the back as it gets very noisy there when all the tables are full. Sitting at the front of the restaurant or outside is very pleasant. Good food and a good value place to eat.

Gotham Cafe 4.0 star review: Have been here a few times for lunch but was my first time for dinner. I had the 15euro menu antipasta starter and vegetable curry for main. Everything was fine, nothing great, the hummous and goats cheese on the starter were really good but apart from that nothing was hugely enjoyable. I had a taste of a few other mains from the group and still kept the same opinion. The staff are very welcoming and service great and it is always clean. I would recommend for lunch, as the atmosphere is quiet busy and the seating not very comfortable. I wouldn't go for dinner again.

Gotham Cafe 4.0 star review: The food here was OK, nothing wrong but nothing special either. There was not much to choose from as a wheat free diner. However they did adjust menu items to suit me which I always appreciate and also shows that some the food is freshly cooked. There was a good atmosphere and nearly full for a Wednesday. Service was good.

Gotham Cafe 4.0 star review: Have been here a few times and really wanted to bring a friend for brunch but got here a little bit late so went for lunch instead. Got here just before the lunch rush arrived and got a table for 2 with ease. We went straight for main courses and my friend tried a pizza and I went for pasta. The pizza looked amazing that my friend order but I was disappointed with the pasta. It was a bit plain and I found I was complimenting the pasta with parmasan and pepper to add flavour, not a good sound. Staff were very nice and attentive and I have been here a few times without disappointment so I would consider it again, just a pity about the dish I ordered. PS try the pizza choice or the chicken main course.
