Fire was great the first time I went to it, and the second time on Saturday was actually better again. Cannot fault this place or its staff, the staff are hardworking, the food is delicious, well-cooked and presented. The menu focuses heavily on Irish produce, and is an eclectic mix of modern french, Irish and european-style dishes. There is a wide range of dishes include seafood and steaks. I ordered the French onion soup for starters, and the 8oz Sirloin medium to well done. The soup was hot and rich, the main was absolutely melt-in-the-mouth beautiful, portioned generously. The staff were extremely attentive to our 5-person party, we ordered wine, soft drinks and coffees, and the bill with tip came to 60 euros a head. Very leisurely experience, the place is big and spacious enough to be full (it was Friday 9pm, and the place was packed), but we still enjoyed the relatively peaceful ambience. Would highly recommend.

I really love this venue - I think it's really nice, warm but at the same time, it's open and modern. Myself and my boyfriend walked in without a reservation (it was after work so approx. 6:00pm) and we were seated no problem. We orderred out food and, as I am a vegetarian, I ordered a vegetarian starter. It was some cheese pastry thing (and was delicious in the end). However, before I went to the ladies room and came out a crab something or other was given to me instead. My boyfriend knew it wasn't vegetarian but he couldn't recall what I had ordered so he waited for me to come back before saying anything. We told a waitress and she politely took it away. Then the waitress that took the original order came to our table and insisted I ordered the crab - when I absolutely did not. It actually ruined the meal for me and I was very annoyed with this. The other waitress could see that we were upset by this and told us not to pay any attention to her. I probably should have complained but, in fairness, she brought our other food items without problem, took dessert order without problem and signed us up for the Fire Loyalty Card. I'm too soft - her attitude was complaint worthy but aside from all the above, the food was lovely, the rest of the staff could not be faulted in any way and the venue is lovely! Definitely worth a visit!

Had booked this for a company night out, very disappointed with the service and seperation of the group into round tables, even though the restaurant was quite empty as it was still early you still could only hear the person to the left and right of you. I think the size of the ceiling does not suit a restaurant. I wont be going back.

Overall enjoyed our visit here, staff were attentive and the food was lovely - very well presented. I had the duck salad to start which was tasty and the Tuna for main which was delicious, big portion of fish but the bean salad was a little on the small side. Other half had a ribeye steak which was delicious. One draw back was the noise, with the roof its a bit on the noisy side even for a quiet night in January but we will return.

Nice welcome on arrival but not much attention from staff after that. To be fair the manager did spot when we weren't happy with my partner's tuna steak. The menu did say it was served rare but this was slimy raw. She replaced it and checked on us after but the rest of the staff weren't so attentive. Portions small and over-priced with no real spark or excitement. The desserts were a big let down and came across very 'bought-in' in my eyes. Surely with 7 or 8 chefs on that night one of them could be a pastry chef. Also, the music is very loud and with such a high ceiling it makes conversation a bit difficult.
A final note, as a restaurant manager myself I was amazed to see how many staff were working both on the floor and in the kitchen in these difficult times - it surprised me quite a bit

I was here last Saturday night with a party of 10 for a birthday celebration. As usual it was fantastic. I have been here quite a few times now and Fire never fails to impress me. We were there on time to avail of the pre-theatre (early bird) menu. High on quality and quantity. I had the tiger prawns for starters and decided to have them again for the main course which was silly I know but I couldn't resist!! Mouth watering and perfect! The dessert was presented amazingly (just like the entire meal) and impressed us all tremendously.

I had dinner in Fire with my Mam on a Saturday Night at 10pm. I had always wanted to try this Restaurant however I had heard a lot of mixed reviews on it so was not sure what to expect. We had the 10pm sitting as I booked at last minute on the way into town at 8pm.
When we entered the Restaurant we were greeted immediately and brought to our table, the restaurant is larger than I had expected but has a great atmosphere and is well laid out. We sat near the top of the room as you enter the door where the fire oven is which looks great. We were served complementary warm garlic & brown bread which was really nice as we were very hungry. We ordered a bottle of Brut costing circa €36.00 which was extremely nice. My Mam had the Fire Wood Tiger Prawns and said they were absolutely delicious.
I’m a very fussy eater and went for the pork wrapped in bacon which was served with mash, beans and gravy it was delicious! I did not have a starter or desert as it was quite late to be eating for me. I would strongly recommend this restaurant the staff are very polite, efficient with excellent service for such a large restaurant. The atmosphere is great with the tables well spaced so your not too close to the person beside you. I will definitely go back to Fire!
