Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street) 3.5 star review: This place has really cracked it. Was full when we arrived at a bit after seven and was full with folks waiting when we left at nine. The staff are good and the room is cosy. Everything seems to be set up to create the sense of an informal inexpensive place to have a glass of wine and a slice of salami or full blown dinner and lots of bots.
The truth is the food is not that great,. decent but ,,,. My ravioli were tepid and the pasta was a touch too al dente even for an Italian. The wine list is very good and we knocked off a couple of bot of a negro amaro which was great value at E22.
The affetati are good but not good enough to be priced as they are and generally portions are small. two of the party had pudding because they were still hungry, not peckish.
At 40 a head for what was a light supper rather than real dinner it was pleasant but not great value when so many other houses are offering serious deals in town these days.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street) 5.0 star review: Seven of us went after initally booking for two, staff very helpful and got a nice table. I had brushetta with tuna,.excellent and for mains tagletelle with ossabucca, big plate but delicious. Everybody enjoyed their meals and some very nice and reasonable wine and presseco.Finished off with deserts and coffees, grand, I had expresso( single) excellent. The food is full of flavours and with a reasonable price and very good service its hard to beat, I will have to become a regular.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street) 4.0 star review: First time visit here and overall was impressed, they were bust but we never felt rushed. The food is all fresh produce and authentic Italian, portion sizes were great and did leave us filled although the menu has so many delights we would have like to have been there grazing for the day and try more of what is on offer! My friend ordered a salad which was incredible flavorsome, I had the Ravioli which appeared small when it arrived but I still struggled to finish, overall will definitely return.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street) 3.5 star review: A group of us ate here, food and menu is good. Authentic Italian, wine and great cappuccino's. For starter ordered Bruschetta al Pomodoro at €5.50 to share, pasta special for around €15 and cappucino. There was a bit of mixup at the end when the waitress had charged for an extra dessert and glass of wine which had not been ordered. So a bit embarrassing for all with the bill as everyone had put in their share and was still short until we itemised bill but all sorted in the end. Good location if shopping in city centre or a night out.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street) 5.0 star review: I went here for lunch today with 2 others. Arrived at 12.45pm and the place was pretty much full - lucky we'd booked a table. We shared some bruchetta which was gorgeous! Very fresh and full of flavours. For main I had the Ravioli (porcini mushroom truffle filled ravioli) which was brilliant. Very tasty and delic. Would have again in a heartbeat. The Ravioli was €15 though which I thought was a bit pricey these days for lunch. Fine for dinner but a bit much for lunch. Although, I'd be very tempted to splash out and pay that again as it was very good. For dessert I had Gelato which was lovely. My fellow dinners had Rigatoni and monk fish spag bowl for main and both were very happy. Great place and almost 5 stars from me - just missing an earlybird lunch and/or dinner!

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street) 4.0 star review: Very good food, nice decor but small tables & understaffed service. I highly recommend the buffalo caprese salad & porcini mushroom ravioli - both divine. The bruschetta al pomodoro needed more garlic but was fine. The fillet of beef should be left without the pesto or rocket - the beef is good enough on it's own. 'Dark chocolate tart' translated into a light chocolate cake which was nice (not amazing) although the authentic gelato was a very nice finish to the meal. Go with the toscan white wine if you like light & easy flavours. Will go again as the food is very nice but will ask for a bigger table and shout when we need something if service is slow again.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street) 5.0 star review: really enjoyed our night in this restaurant, its authentic Italian food, It was full and had a good buzz about the place. We mostly had the specials of the day and were not disapointed. They do not know how to make Irish coffee as we had to send ours back but apart from that I will be back.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street) 4.0 star review: I love this restaurant - I have known about it for years, but I only have started going there regularly recently and I have had uniformly excellent food. The service is uneven, but the atmosphere is infomal and pleasant. My favourite main is the sausage and borlatti bean cassarole, and the tiramisu is to die for. I am not very well informed about wine, but all of wine's I've had there have been tasty, and I've had some good recommendations from the staff. All in all, its a reliable place a delicious, reasonably priced italian meal.
