AWARDS & PRIZES

We seek out the best establishments in every part of Ireland for inclusion in our guides and, because we work independently and without charging a fee, you know that we can be trusted to lead you to the best places over a wide range of categories. Good Food Ireland is an industry driven food tourism organisation which was established in November 2006. Many good food operators in a cross-section of establishments all around the island from restaurants to accommodation, pubs to food shops to cookery schools wanted to be recognised and endorsed for their commitment to using Irish, local and artisan food produce. They wanted to share experiences and be cooperatively marketed to the domestic and international tourist. Agriculture and Tourism, two vital economies for Ireland have so much in common and are yet so far apart. Through Good Food Ireland the industry from both these sectors share a common belief and come together as one. Good Food Ireland brings you the visitor or domestic consumer what we believe is the only way to get a true taste of Ireland. In 1900, André Michelin published the first edition of a guide to France to help drivers maintain their cars, find decent lodging, and eat well while touring. In 1926, the guide introduced the star to note good cooking; two and three stars were added in the early 1930s. The guide awards one to three stars to a small number of restaurants of outstanding quality. Fodors helps you unleash the possibilities of travel by providing the insights and tools you need to experience the trips you want. And we are confident that were giving you the best information because our products are written by people who live there. We seek to hire local writers who know their destinations better than anyone else. Our worldwide team of over 700 travel writers bring you the latest, most accurate coverage, and like trusted companions, reveal local treasures and everything you need to know before you arrive. Every year, the Bridgestone editors set out to find those restaurants that offer the best cooking and the best service in Ireland. This book features grand city restaurants, and tiny little one-room restaurants in the wilds of the country. There are restaurants located on islands, and restaurants that reverberate with the energy and mania of the city. Bought a voucher of menu pages and booked a table for sat 14th. Silly me hadn't read the small print, the voucher was valid from Feb 1st, but the guys in the restaurant said they would honour the voucher for the night we went. Such an amazing place, great food and wonderful staff. Top notch!

We dined here on the 3 course €27.95 offer and availed of an inclusive bottle of wine between two complimentary email offer. From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, polite and made every effort to make us feel welcome. My friend only drinks white wine while I prefer red so they kindly offered to split the wine into a separate carafe each. It was greatly appreciated! The food itself was delicious. I opted for the wild mushroom soup, roast chicken and peanut butter mousse. Every time I have visited Brasserie Sixty6 the food and the service have always been top-notch. If you are looking for a city-centre restaurant that serves quality food and is excellent value, be sure to consider Braserie Sixy6. I look forward to returning there soon :)

The lunch available here is one of the best for the money. €10 and you get a really good main. It was very quiet for lunch.but gets much busier for the early bird. The portions are very good. The big plus about brasserie is the staff.then cannot do enough for you. I was delighted to see Rose there.she is always so pleasant and helpful.the other 2 staff members there were so attentive and helpful. Go for the food and you'll stay for the service.

Very good value with the 2 course meal for 20 quid voucher. Service matches the food can be a bit noisy when its busy but a minor fault in an otherwise great place
