As Dublin moves more towards the European traditions of cafe culture, the city's drinkers and diners are becoming more open to the tapas attitude of 'sharing is caring'. Bia Bar is riding the cusp of this wave with their new Bijou Bites menu, which offers their usual wide range of carefully-crafted dishes in more snackable fashion. Any excuse to sit around the Drury Street bar for an afternoon is more than welcome, and the lunch menu, comprised of toasted-sourdough-based tartines, sides, desserts and '5-minute lunches' will keep your hunger in check. The dinner-time menu means business, with options including grilled sirloin, pork belly, and a unique Smoked Trout and Yorkshire pudding combination paired off with some typically sophisticated sides. Match your meal up with options from the expertly-selected wine and cocktail menu and some good company, and watch the day slide by.

Bia Bar 3.5 star review: Bia Bar can be best described as a mediocre dining experience. We were given a table under a large screen tv despite reserved tables, which remained unoccupied as we were leaving, being free. Service was random..if we happened to catch a waiters eye then we were in luck. Food was acceptable but not good enough for me to return for dinner. Perhaps Bia Bar is a better lunch than dinner venue.

Bia Bar 4.0 star review: We headed into Bia Bar a few weeks ago for lunch. The place has a nice quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The music was good and the seating was comfortable. We both had the roast chicken special and were quite full afterwards. The food was both hot and tasty. The service was quick and the waitresses were very nice. We left very pleased with our choice!

Bia Bar 4.0 star review: Ate here with a menupages voucher and loved it. All our food was delicious and brought out quickly. It was a very good value with the voucher. The steak is really good even w/o the sauce. Nice service too.

Bia Bar 5.0 star review: We bought the menu pages voucher for Bia Bar about 2 weeks ago at first I wasnt sure that I would like Tapas food so we were going to be in town Saturday afternoon so decided to use the voucher and have dinner in Bia Bar and we are delighted we did.
The service is excellent it says not to mention the names of the staff but we were greeted by a lovely girl called Emily who was so friendly and efficient and when we asked her questions about food on the menu she knew all the answers, its a very relaxing place to eat we ordered a bottle of wine with the food and although the wine was a little expensive we didnt mind as we got the menu pages deal for such a little price.
The food was gorgeous and it is smaller portions but I think it is just enough as both myself and my boyfriend were happily full. We could have stayed there for a few more hours but had to go as we had plans for that evening but overall I love this place and will be back I would recommend this to anyone. The menu is a bit different and that can be at first off putting but dont let that stop you as I had chicken with croutons and baby potatoes and it was fresh and delicous.

Bia Bar 4.0 star review: I have been to Bia Bar three times the last two months. The reason is that the food is very affordable and tasty simple food. If you go on a Sunday it is perfect for a quiet catch up, the waiters serve what is ordered and then let you relax in peace. I really like that there, there is now rush and it is very relaxing. Now I have been there before late at night and the music can be quite loud so earlier dinners or lunches are recommended unless you prefer the loud music of course. The food has recently chanced to tapas dishes and the menu is now bigger which I think was a great idea for a wider choice. I recommend you to go here when the company is more important and the food required is just something simple for a good value. It is a bar so you pick your own seats and the window seats are recommended.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your experience of our New Menu. It consists of small bites, hence the name: "Bijou Bites @ Bai Bar" with prices ranging from €5 - €9 per plate with the enphasis being on a number of smaller plates as opposed to one large main course plate. Hopefully the simple fresh flavours should come across with something for everyones' palate as well as budget. Look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
Kind Regard,
David Cahill.

Bia Bar 1.5 star review: We were seated in a dark corner so if you do chance this place I would recommend a window seat. As for the seats we were seat at on a coach which looked comfortable but had no dept to it & was a little hard on the rear.

As for the food, to start we both had the bruschetta. It was tiny and came with a few leaves, a complete rip off. Luckily the 2 pieces were so small you could nearly swallow them in 1 bite before they went cold on the stone cold plate. They didn't taste great either.

For the main I had the burger, its a bad sign when you can bite into a burger & not hit any meat! It was all bun & no burger. It came with a few spare chips which had been dosed in salt already & a few leaves of salad, it didn't taste great. At €14 a complete rip off. The GF had the steak which was tiny, it tasted ok & came with the same as the burger & some pepper sauce in a bowl on the plate to fill some space! We considered going for something decent to eat as soon as we left!

What a rip off the Bia Bar really is & I will say with utmost confidence that I shall never darken there door again.

Bia Bar 3.0 star review: We had a voucher for Bia Bar for 2 starters, 2 burgers/pizzas and 2 drinks. Before I went I checked out the food menus on their website but unfortunately, the menu we got when we arrived appeared to be completely different and did not offer the variety that the website's menu had. We proceeded to order the chicken caesar salad and crab cakes for starters and 2 burgers for mains. The starters were pretty standard with the crab cakes being the poorer dish and lacked any flavour other than lemongrass. The burgers were fine. Service was good considering the waiter appeared to be the only one waiting tables as well as being barman. Unlikely to return again for food but looks like a nice place to go for a drink.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
